Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<br>
<ul><li>Manages the workload of the Electrical Design team.</li><li>Plans, coordinates, and manages detailed aspects of electrical engineering work related to Lighting, Power Distribution, Information Technology (Voice and Data), Access Control, Electronic Safety and Security including Fire Alarm for Commercial, Institutional, and Public Facilities.</li><li>Preparation of project proposals scopes, tasks, budgets, and schedules.</li><li>Oversees site investigations and inspections and provides suggestions for electrical engineering projects to ensure that standards and requirements are met.</li><li>Ensures the accuracy and code compliance of contract documents and reports.</li><li>Attends project meetings and presents specific aspects of engineering assignments/projects.</li><li>Communicates directly with clients-owners, designers, and contractors concerning project cost, staffing, and scheduling.</li><li>Assist in the preparation of the project status reports, contract documents, and engineers estimates including the collection, assembling, and organizing of project data.</li><li>Seeks out new clients and projects to pursue and assist with the marketing efforts of these projects.</li><li>Recommends staffing needs to upper management; assists in the hiring process of the Electrical team by assisting in the preparation of job descriptions, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and recommending candidates for hire.</li><li>Nights and weekends are generally not required but may occasionally be necessary with little or no advanced notice.</li></ul><br>
Safety/Hazard Recognition &amp; Elimination:<br>
<ul><li>Pre-plan and identify the methods to eliminate hazards daily by work task.</li><li>Execute skill in observing habits and hazards of others and bringing it to their attention.</li><li>Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company. Support goal of achieving zero accidents.</li><li>Promote and encourage open communication between field and office regarding all safety concerns, suggestions, improvements, and PPE needed.</li><li>Obtain safety training as expected by all company personnel.</li></ul><br>
Financial:<br>
LIMITS OF AUTHORITY: Financial limits of authority for bidding, contracts, change orders, and lien waivers may be viewed by the incumbent on the &ldquo;Levels of Authority&rdquo; document located on the Company F drive. It is the employee&rsquo;s responsibility to stay current on these limits of authority.</div><p></p><div>
Qualifications and Requirements:<br>
<ul><li>Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical</li><li>10+ years of formal training and experience in Electrical engineering with at least five (5) years as a Technical Team Leader.</li><li>Must have experience as a group leader or project engineer on complex, multi-discipline engineering design or projects.</li><li>Sufficient knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit to manage work of staff using these computer software products.</li><li>Understanding of the National Electrical Code.</li><li>SKM and/or ETAP Systems Analysis knowledge a plus.</li><li>Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word.</li><li>Knowledge of MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and MS SharePoint a plus.</li></ul></div><div>
Experience, Skill and Abilities:<br>
<ul><li>Positive safety attitude and personal integrity &ndash; both are non-negotiable</li><li>Must have proven track record of accomplishments as leader design engineer on electrical projects and be capable of supervising and directing a team of engineers, designers, and support personnel.</li><li>Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering and design and be familiar with applicable Codes, standards, and TIA/EIA industry standards.</li><li>Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management</li><li>Ability to organize work, set priorities, meet critical deadlines, and follow-up on assignments with minimal</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect privileged client information and documents appropriately.</li><li>Ability to work calmly and effectively in a high-volume office environment under pressure of heavy deadlines.</li></ul><br>
