We are looking for a Innovation and Procurement Assistant interested in starting a career with a top-ranked and growing snack company, and to be part of our R&amp;D team at PIM&rsquo;s Park Ridge site in New Jersey.
Overview: 
PIM Brands is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Innovation and Procurement Assistant to support our R&amp;D and procurement teams. This role plays a key part in sourcing innovative ingredients, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with food safety and packaging regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
R&amp;D and Quality Support<ul><li>
Research and identify new innovative ingredients.</li><li>
Assist in testing product concepts and facility audit assessments.</li><li>
Collaborate with R&amp;D and quality teams to support development initiatives.</li></ul>
Procurement Support<ul><li>
Help source raw materials and maintain supplier records.</li><li>
Coordinate with suppliers to confirm orders and resolve delivery issues.</li></ul>
Supplier Coordination<ul><li>
Communicate with suppliers regarding availability, specifications, and timelines.</li><li>
Support onboarding of new suppliers by collecting documentation and samples.</li><li>
Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues as needed.</li></ul>
Documentation &amp; Compliance<ul><li>
Ensure procurement documentation is complete and properly filed.</li><li>
Support compliance with food safety and packaging regulations.</li><li>
Assist in audit preparation and quality documentation.</li></ul>
Data &amp; Reporting<ul><li>
Maintain procurement databases and spreadsheets.</li><li>
Conduct cost comparisons and market research to support sourcing decisions.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Manufacturing or related field required</li><li>
1&ndash;2 years of experience in procurement or administrative support (food industry preferred).</li><li>
Strong organizational and communication skills.</li><li>
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).</li><li>
High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul>
