Schedule: up to 30 hours a week, typically Monday - Friday during regular work hours (8:30am to 5pm). Some weekend work may be required. Opportunities to work from home on select days.

This position will assist the Convention and Visitors Bureau, also known as Visit St. Pete-Clearwater (VisitSPC), for two semesters (up to 24 weeks) as a student intern of an educational institution. Work performed will vary upon assignment and may involve multiple VisitSPC departments during the 24-week period. Duties include, but are not limited to research, proofreading copy, website and customer relationship management (CRM) database updates, assistance with planning and implementing brand activations, website content creation, social media assistance, and more.<ul><li>
Work is performed under the guidance of a VisitSPC manager and may involve work in evenings or weekends, as needed, but will not exceed 30 hours per week.</li><li>
Professionalism and reliability are critical to a student&rsquo;s success in VisitSPC&rsquo;s Internship Program.</li><li>
Interns will spend the majority of time working in Brand Activations, Data &amp; Digital Platforms, Sports Commission and the Film Commission Departments with other project assignments as determined by VisitSPC. Internships are on a 24-week timeframe.</li></ul> 
Fall/Spring Internship is generally from the 2nd week of September to the 2nd week of April (includes breaks for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years).</div><div> 
What Will You Do?<ul><li>
Assist with activations and promotions that support VSPC&rsquo;s brand in the local market such as:<ul><li>
Elite Events (e.g. Clearwater Jazz Holiday, Sugar Sand Festival, Johns' Pass Seafood Festival)</li><li>
Sporting Events (e.g. Valspar Championship)</li><li>
Other Attractions &amp; Local Partners 
</li></ul></li><li>
 Assist with planning and implementing logistics for all facets of familiarization tours (FAMs) or other VSPC activations, including but not limited to:<ul><li>
Creating FAM itineraries.</li><li>
Scheduling and reserving necessary assets for trade shows, sales missions and other activations.</li><li>
Coordinating marketing and/or digital components, as needed.</li><li>
Executing all phases of setup, including load-in and load-out.</li><li>
Creating talking points specific to an event.</li><li>
Completing pre-event plans &amp; post-event reporting for each event.</li><li>
Ensuring brand standards are upheld.</li></ul></li></ul></div><div><ul><li>
Assist with inventory of marketing assets and collateral.</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>
Update VisitSPC&rsquo;s websites and CRM with accurate event and partner information.</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>
Perform research on promotional items, activations, and services that promote and increase VisitSPC&rsquo;s brand exposure.</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>
Assist with event contracts and community relations.</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>
Assist VisitSPC departments with internal and external communications and customer service.</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>
Work with attraction partners to enhance editorial business profiles.</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>
Assist VisitSPC with creation of social media content including the capture of destination vertical video.</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>

What Do You Need To Have?</div><div><ul><li>
Must be currently enrolled as a sophomore or higher level student in a college/university marketing, communications, tourism/hospitality, or related program.</li><li>
Writing sample may be required.</li><li>
Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary.</li><li>
Remote Work Policy: This position requires employees to live within a 60-mile radius of Pinellas County and maintain the ability to report to the assigned worksite as needed. If you relocate outside the required 60-mile radius, you must receive advance approval from the County Administrator. The Utilities Contact Center Representative is accountable for the response and resolution to inquiries (from any source) regarding payments, account research, escalated issues, and the application of approved policies and procedures. The contact center handles contacts (ranging from simple to complex) regarding utilities services (water, sewer, reclaimed water, taxes and various other services) provided by Pinellas County and 11 other municipalities and 2 private companies.
This is a highly responsible position within the organization, maintaining all internal/external customer relations and issues. The employee is expected to exercise a high degree of independent judgment based on experience and knowledge of department operations. A significant portion of revenue is generated through this department by establishing and maintaining customer accounts and by being a goodwill ambassador to the organization of Pinellas County Utilities.
What Will You Do?<ul><li>
Research, verify, update and assure the accuracy of information in the customer information system.</li><li>
Answer customer phone calls following set standards and expectations while assisting customers with various account activities such as payment application, financial assistance agencies, fixed due dates, deferrals, payment installments, refunds, high bills, etc.</li><li>
Interpret billing information provided on customer accounts and applies appropriate procedures as needed.</li><li>
Cancel, establish, and maintain customer accounts in the customer information system.</li><li>
Research and verify property ownership to ensure billing of base charges.</li><li>
Explain the Utilities Department and other municipalities&rsquo; rate schedules in a clear and understandable manner.</li><li>
Maintain and update names, phone numbers, mailing addresses, and email addresses for customer accounts.</li><li>

What Do You Need?

An associate degree trade school, or vocational training degree, diploma, or certificate that includes training or experience as described above plus 1 year of experience dealing with customer service inquiries.; or</li><li>
 A Bachelor&rsquo;s or higher-level degree that includes some training or experience as described above.</li><li>

This is supervisory airport crash/fire/rescue work protecting life and property at the St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport. Employees in this class serve as uniformed airport firefighters, responding to actual or potential air-crash emergencies, on and off the Airport, and supervise a unit of Airport Firefighters during an assigned shift. Work includes responsibility for the proper operation and maintenance of station and crash/fire/rescue equipment/rescue boat and in conducting crash/fire/rescue training exercises. Employee will be required to command Aircraft incidents in the absence of the Airport Fire Chief. 
This Airport Fire Lieutenant position is located at: 14700 Terminal Blvd., Suite 221, Clearwater, FL 33762
Work Schedule: 24 hours on; 48 hours off 
 
 What Will You Do<ul><li>
Conduct &ldquo;quarterly inspections of fueling facilities and/or airport refueling tankers to maintain 14 CFR Part 139 requirements.</li><li>
Respond to airport standby, fire and crash alarms and supervises and assists Firefighters at the fire scene.</li><li>
Inspect fire apparatus, equipment, station, fuel, and the surrounding grounds to ensure proper order conditions.</li><li>
Drive aircraft firefighting and rescue vehicles to crash scenes or to prearranged runway positions in anticipation of disabled aircraft landing.</li><li>
Operate vehicle turret nozzles and pumping equipment to spray foam onto runway surface to minimize danger of explosion or fire upon impact and applies water and chemicals to aircraft after landing to prevent extinguish flames.</li><li>
Respond to water rescues.</li><li>
Rescue aircraft crewmembers and passengers from wreckage using specialized cutting equipment and administers first aid to the injured.</li><li>
Perform first-response structural firefighting and rescue work on Airport property and establish fire-lines to secure crash areas from unauthorized entry.</li><li>
Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on firefighting and rescue equipment, conduct training sessions and exercise and reviews and prepare shift and incident records and reports.</li><li>
Monitor and operate Airport Protective Service radio and telephone communications equipment in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.</li><li>
Schedule leave for personnel and write annual performance appraisals.</li><li>
Perform other related work as assigned or required.</li></ul>
