Position Summary</div><div>
Piping Technology &amp; Products is a fast-growing manufacturing company supplying pipe supports and expansion joints worldwide. We&rsquo;re looking for a<b><i> Junior Buyer</i></b> who has entry-level experience in purchasing.</div><div>
The ideal candidate will have the ability to initiate supplier contacts, obtain price and availability, quote and place purchase orders, and review and manage inventory levels.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Additional Duties &amp; Responsibilities</b></div><ul><li>Purchase office stationery, copy paper, toner, occasional catering, and PPE for the entire plant.</li><li>Accurately generate quotation requests and purchase orders and follow up with suppliers on past due orders.</li><li>Communicate with department managers to assure material being purchased meets their specifications and delivery requirements.</li><li>Track shipments from the vendor to the freight forwarder to the intended destination.</li><li>Review requisitions; confer with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedule.</li><li>Create and maintain purchase orders and invoice files for review and audit purposes.</li><li>Reconcile PO&rsquo;s on Subcontracted Jobs.</li><li>Adhere to and ensure compliance of all Company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards.</li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned.</li></ul></div>
<p><b>Requirements</b></p><br>
<div></div><div><div>Required Skills</div><ul><li>Minimum of High School Diploma. College Credit Preferred.</li><li>Must be able to follow safety protocols for working inside a manufacturing facility.</li><li>Ability to be on time, with minimal absences.</li><li>The ability to maintain complete organization and prioritize work to meet deadlines.</li><li>The ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, as well as with customers and other outside contacts.</li><li>Basic administrative and clerical skills</li><li>Ability to type and use a personal computer keyboard efficiently.</li><li>Ability to operate a calculator, copy machine, and telephone equipment.</li><li>Good mathematical and grammatical skills.</li><li>Basic understanding of personal computers, printers, and spreadsheets necessary. Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel required. Google Suite is a plus.</li></ul></div>
