<div></div><div>We are actively recruiting for a Data Path Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role will work with Product Management, Quality Engineering and Software Engineering to advance our data path technologies, performance and capability.</div>
<div></div><div>This position is located in Louisville, CO, but we are open to the position being located at our office in Houston, TX.</div>
<div></div><div><b>Responsibilities</b></div>
<ul><li>Contribute to the design and architecture of new or re-engineered software in our core areas of distributed computing and high-performance storage</li>
<li>Collaborates on and implements architecture recommendations surrounding performance, resiliency, preventive maintenance, and high availability</li>
<li>Identifies and eliminates performance bottlenecks and makes performance-related recommendations (hardware, software, configuration)</li>
<li>Designs and develops major functional or performance enhancements for existing products, or produces new software products or tools</li>
<li>Work closely with Quality Engineering, Product Management and other Engineering teams</li>
<li>Develop, test, and integrate code for new or existing software of significant complexity</li>
<li>Promote and participate in design, efficient code and collaborative code reviews</li>
<li>Provide sustaining or maintenance support to existing software environment, either by implementation or providing guidance to &ldquo;junior&rdquo; engineers</li>
</ul><div><b>Skills/Qualifications/Education</b></div>
<ul><li>B.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent is strongly preferred</li>
<li>4 - 8 years of experience in a Software Engineer or Senior Software Engineer capacity</li>
<li>Proven and demonstrable experience with C/C++</li>
<li>Strong understanding of storage protocols (iSCSI, SAS/SATA, PCIe) is a big plus</li>
<li>Experience working with Jenkins or similar CI tools</li>
<li>Experience working and integrating with VMware is a plus</li>
<li>Experience with Agile methodologies is strongly preferred</li>
<li>Proficiency with IP networking in Linux environment</li>
<li>Good understanding of performance monitoring and hardware limitations of enterprise level servers</li>
<li>Assertive communication and ability to influence cross functional stakeholders to make best decisions for the company and clients</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal communications are a must</li>
