About the Role:
Pixalate is growing our data privacy and children's online safety team and looking for a senior privacy expert to engage with product, engineering, policy makers and stakeholders to champion children&rsquo;s safety and consumer privacy online. You will be the subject matter expert of relevant children online privacy laws, including COPPA/GDPR-K,ongoing relevant regulatory changes at the US state and federal levels for children online safety, and pertinent EU regulations like GDPR and UK Age Appropriate Design Code. 
Responsibilities 
<ul><li>
In-house expert in global privacy regulations, with a special focus on COPPA/GDPR-K, and other relevant children data protection and online safety laws</li><li>
Advocate children&rsquo;s online privacy internally and externally</li><li>
Drive the vision, strategy, direction and roadmap of the Children&rsquo;s Online Safety Product</li><li>
Co-own the product roadmap with the Product, Engineering and Data Science teams</li><li>
Work cross-functionally across different teams to maintain, develop and expand relevant privacy compliance tools</li><li>
Understand the data governance and public policy implications of data privacy in online advertising</li><li>
Regularly engage with legislators and regulators to identify key policy changes</li><li>
Work with the global team to develop briefing papers, blog posts, presentations, consultation responses and conduct webinars, brown bags and client presentations</li></ul> 
Qualifications 
<ul><li>
JD is preferred</li><li>
Experience in a trade association, think-tank, university, consulting, law firm, compliance, and in-house</li><li>
Experience and interest in Children online privacy and COPPA and GDPR compliance</li><li>
Knowledge of California online privacy laws/Age appropriate design code</li><li>
3+ years of experience with data privacy regulatory requirements and compliance issues</li><li>
Excellent writing and proofreading skills</li></ul><ul><li>
Degree in Law/Technology related subject</li><li>
Prior experience working in data privacy, AI or data security</li><li>
CIPP (or equivalent) certification</li><li>
Major law firm, inhouse or government experience</li></ul>
