This role offers real accounting ownership from day one, not just filing and data entry. As a <b>Junior Accounting Manager</b>, you will build your accounting foundation hands-on, supporting our full bookkeeping cycle while contributing to the automation and process improvement work that keeps Planet A Foods running efficiently. You'll start with a structured onboarding boot camp, designed to fast-track your fundamentals before you take on full ownership of your workstreams: so you're set up to grow fast, not thrown in unprepared.<br>

You will work closely with our CFO and Lead FP&amp;A, gaining direct exposure to finance operations in a fast-moving food tech environment and growing into a reliable pillar of the team. We're looking for analytical, numbers-driven minds who get genuinely curious about *why* a number looks the way it does.</p><h4 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
A Taste of What to Expect</b></h4><p></p><ul><li>
Support monthly and annual financial closures, learning the end-to-end close process with exposure to consolidation workflows</li><li>
Own and continuously optimize our end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processes</li><li>
Run full-cycle bookkeeping (AP/AR/GL) on our current stack (DATEV Unternehmen Online and Spendesk)</li><li>
Participate in ERP system projects from an accounting perspective, shadowing implementation work and gradually owning tasks</li><li>
Streamline VAT and tax reporting through integrated system logic and digital filing interfaces, replacing manual processes with automated compliance</li><li>
Design and manage payment workflows to optimize cash flow, enhance customer experience, and maintain operational bank relations</li><li>
Support the preparation of audit documentation and liaise with internal stakeholders as needed</li></ul><p></p><h4 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
The Perfect Recipe of Skills &amp; Experience
</b></h4><p></p><ul><li>Education in Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related field combined with at least 1&ndash;2 years of relevant experience, ideally in Startups, Scaleups or Consulting</li><li>
Exposure to the implementation of an accounting or ERP system is a strong plus</li><li>
Basic knowledge of German accounting principles (HGB/German GAAP) and DATEV familiarity</li><li>
Analytical, tech-savvy and genuinely numbers-driven: you find patterns in data as instinctively as you keep books tidy, with real enthusiasm for AI workflows and process optimization</li><li>
Reliable, detail-oriented and able to work independently</li><li>
