The <b>Security and Logistics Officer</b> provides high-level customer service and security support across PPPSW&rsquo;s operational region. This role is responsible for the safe transport of medical samples and medications from designated health centers to the in-house laboratory, while also supporting emergency response efforts and security operations.</div><div></div><div><br>
The <b>Security and Logistics Officer</b> helps maintain safe and welcoming environments for patients, visitors, and staff, and serves as the Agency&rsquo;s representative and liaison with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.</div>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>In this role, you'll get to:</b></h3><ul><li>
Complete in-house incident reports thoroughly and efficiently.</li><li>
Proficient in all of PPPSW's warning system color codes and required procedures.</li><li>
Participates in security response actions in accordance with established protocol for a variety of security-related situations.</li><li>
Communicates applicable security information clearly to employees or the respective audience.</li><li>
Develop relationships with key employees to execute response and recovery plans and procedures, minimizing operational disruptions.</li><li>
Performs foot patrols and facility checks at designated PPPSW locations.</li><li>
Work independently and as part of a team on security projects and initiatives.</li><li>
Provide security coverage for on-site and off-site special events.</li><li>
 Track all deliveries with the provided handheld scanning device.</li><li>
Stay informed of all agency-required security trainings and maintain required records of annual training.</li><li>
Assist the Regional Security Manager in training staff and/or volunteers in various security and emergency topics</li><li>
Transport high volumes of patient samples/specimens from designated Health Centers to the specified drop-off locations, ensuring their safety and fast delivery.</li><li>
Audit disaster equipment and supplies in a clean, secure location to ensure that all resources are easily accessible and ready for quick deployment after an emergency.</li><li>
Perform regular inspections and cleaning of company vehicles by use of the company's carwash passes and supplies.</li><li>
Serve as a liaison to local law enforcement and maintain contacts for emergency purposes.</li><li>
Address any concerns with police departments regarding the safety of PPPSW facilities or events.</li><li>
Serves as a representative on behalf of PPPSW for criminal prosecutions in a court of law, as necessary.</li><li>
Ensure radios and advanced communications equipment are functioning and readily available for emergencies.</li><li>
Troubleshoots as needed security equipment, including alarm panels, panic devices, access control, and surveillance systems.</li><li>
Independently conducts site surveys and equipment audits, among other tasks, at the direction of the Regional Security Manager.</li><li>
Ensure pertinent information is communicated promptly and effectively surrounding incidents to management and key stakeholders.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
What we are looking for:
</b></h3><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent work experience - <i>Required, and</i></li><li>
College coursework in related field - <i>Preferred</i></li><li>
3+ years of experience working in the security industry or in a security role - <i>Required, and</i></li><li>
Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting - <i>Preferred</i></li><li>
Courier experience or previous experience driving a company vehicle -<i> Preferred</i></li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Licenses/Certifications</b></h3><ul><li>
Proprietary Private Security Officer License -<i> Required upon hire</i></li><li>
Threat Liaison Officer Course - <i>Required within 90 days of hire</i></li><li>
CPR Certification -<i> Required within 90 days of hire</i></li><li>
IAHSS - Certification As A Security Officer - <i>Required within 120 days of hire</i></li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Additional Information:</b></h3><ul><li>
Schedule: Monday&ndash;Friday (fixed schedule), with flexibility to accommodate variations as needed.</li><li>
This role requires regular travel between health centers within an assigned area of responsibility.</li><li>
