<ul><li>Book and process incoming and outgoing prisoners according to written policies and procedures</li><li>Write detailed and accurate incident reports</li><li>Patrol the interior and exterior of the facility</li><li>Inspect visitors and packages delivered to the facility</li><li>Respond to crisis situations as outlined by policies and procedures</li><li>Oversee inmate activities including meals, classes, visitation, and recreation</li><li>Monitor inmates and grounds with surveillance cameras and report unusual activity to ensure safety and security</li><li>Regular head counts of inmates within a section</li><li>Escort inmates to job sites, medical facilities, classrooms or wherever they are needed in a timely, secure manner</li><li>Assist other Correctional Officers with management of inmates</li><li>Conduct regular searches of inmate areas like cells, recreation rooms and showers for unauthorized items</li><li>Manage confrontational situations as they arise to maintain security</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: From $22.73 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
