Position Summary</b></h2></div><div><p>
As a Service Technician, you'll be responsible for conducting basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance tasks on both customer and dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment. You may also be called upon to provide in-field service to support our customers, with occasional guidance from the Service Manager, Service Location Manager, Shop Foreman, or senior technicians.</p></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Job Responsibilities</b></h2></div><div><ul><li>
Conduct basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment, including established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products.</li><li>
Participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.</li><li>
Initiate self-training opportunities with tools and provided resources by the dealership.</li><li>
Stay updated on existing products and pursue additional technical and product knowledge through dealership training programs, manufacturer training, and on-the-job learning.</li><li>
Diagnose and support machine systems, including Precision Ag technology.</li><li>
Maintain the condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.</li><li>
Ensure a clean and organized work area and perform tasks in a neat and orderly fashion.</li><li>
Adhere to all safety rules and regulations during work assignments.</li><li>
Complete all required paperwork and forms using ExpertServices accurately and on time.</li><li>
Track time accurately on a timecard and account for all materials used in assigned duties.</li><li>
Deliver excellent customer service and uphold a positive dealer image.</li></ul><p>
Performance Requirements:</p><ul><li>
Meet or exceed effective labor rate goal ~ targeting $160.</li><li>
Maintain a minimum 85% labor performance.</li><li>
Dedicate a minimum of 1 hour per week to work alongside a mentor.</li><li>
Actively complete and stay up to date on all assigned training.</li></ul></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Qualifications</b></h2></div><div><ul><li>
Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment.</li><li>
Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks using specialized tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.</li><li>
Familiarity with Service Center and basic computer functions.</li><li>
Capability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.</li><li>
Minimum of 3 year of experience performing service repairs.</li><li>
Strong oral and written communication skills.</li><li>
Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.</li><li>
Basic Service Technician certification.</li><li>
High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.</li><li>
A valid driver&rsquo;s license is required.</li></ul></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Preferred Qualifications</b></h2></div><div><ul><li>
John Deere Service Technician certification is preferred.</li><li>
Associate's degree preferred.</li><li>

Compensation</b></h2></div><div><p>
The following represents Platte Valley Equipment compensation estimation based on market data and placement of internal employees. This is a hourly role with a starting base of $19<b> </b>and going up to $48<b> </b>based on experience. This role is also incentive eligible and is based on performance.</p></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
