The Preschool Teacher should possess high energy and the ability to handle the demands of three and four year olds with different personalities and needs. The hours on Monday - Friday from approximately 2 pm - 6 pm. Additional hours may be available.To ensure success, the preschool teacher should display a gentle and nurturing personality, and the patience to assist each infant or child to mature cognitively. They should be able to assist in developing the children's social skills as they interact with each other. The successful applicant will create safe, fun and engaging experiences that inspire children to learn while also fostering their creativity, sense of humor and love of learning.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Guiding children through education/development programs.</li><li>Thinking on their feet and responding to each child's needs efficiently.</li><li>Displaying a patient and calm personality coupled with a loving approach to every child.</li><li>Contributing positively to the behavior and social interaction of the children.</li><li>Building secure relationships with the children.</li><li>Working closely with the Director and others to ensure that guidelines are adhered to.</li><li>Keeping paperwork current of the day's events for families and programming.</li><li>Reporting accidents, illness, and unusual behavior of children to families and supervisors.</li><li>Ensuring close communication with families daily.</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hourExpected hours: 20 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Professional development assistance</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Tuition reimbursement</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)</li><li>Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>Child Development Certification (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
