As a Senior Automotive Technician, you will play a key role in diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to quality. You&rsquo;ll utilize your technical expertise to perform advanced diagnostics and repairs while ensuring every vehicle meets MAP guidelines and dealership, manufacturer, and company repair standards. 
Compensation Up To:
$35.00/Hr. &ndash; $45.00/Hr. (flag rate), Depending on your experience and certifications.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.</li><li>
Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy</li><li>
Performs complex and heavy-duty repairs</li><li>
Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include the Store Manager, Service Consultants and/or customers</li><li>
Recommends services that are necessary to keep the customer&rsquo;s vehicle in running condition; properly documents all recommendations in customer file</li><li>
Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to direct supervisor</li><li>
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends as needed. But never Sundays! Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor

</div>Qualifications:<ul><li>
Previous automotive technician / mechanic experience required</li><li>
ASE certifications in lieu of experience</li><li>
Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics</li><li>
Valid Driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>
Must be at least 18 years of age</li><li>
Possess State Inspector License or ability to obtain a State Inspector license (in applicable locations) within 30 days of hire date</li><li>
High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical School experience preferred</li></ul><div> 
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:</div><div></div> 
The Senior Automotive Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The temperature in the work environment varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on the ambient temperatures outside. The use of safety goggles or other PPE may be required when working in these conditions.
The Senior Automotive Technician must be able to meet the following physical requirements:<ul><li>
Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building</li><li>
Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently</li><li>
Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently.</li><li>
Communicate with customers and shop personnel</li><li>
Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus</li></ul>

Automotive Technician

The Automotive Technician is responsible for effectively and efficiently diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles while adhering to the MAP guidelines and in accordance with dealership, manufacturers, and Plaza Tire Automotive standards. 
Pay Range: $20&ndash;$35 per hour in total compensation, which includes an hourly base plus additional earnings through a flag/flat-rate system.
