We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our innovative, fast-paced custom fabrication company. You&rsquo;ll be a member of our engineering team, contributing to the design of new cutting-edge material handling products.To be successful in this position, you should have proficient experience using CAD software, with strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving ability. It&rsquo;s also important that you have strong project management skills to meet the daily demands of the role. Compensation: <ul><li>Competitive salary commensurate with experience</li><li>Health Insurance</li><li>Dental Insurance</li><li>Life Insurance</li><li>401(k)</li><li>Paid Vacation and Holidays</li><li>Flexible Schedule when Needed</li></ul>Job Duties: <ul><li>Design creativity in finding cost-saving solutions to customer problems</li><li>Create product models and drawings using CAD</li><li>System and component design that meet customer needs and requirements</li><li>Present designs and concepts to customers and project managers</li><li>Proactively work with experienced fabricators to integrate manufacturing best practices to meet customer requirements and eliminate challenges</li><li>Compliance with the industry safety standards</li><li>Product designs that ensure user-friendly interaction</li><li>Create and maintain documentation including Bill of Materials (BOM), part drawings, assembly drawings, and schematics.</li><li>Document project estimates, scope, and budget</li><li>Project management during the manufacturing process</li><li>Communicate with suppliers to achieve function and price objectives</li></ul>Requirements: <ul><li>Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS CAD platform</li><li>Proven skills as a key contributor for concept and design development</li><li>Possess problem-solving skills and mechanical creativity</li><li>Excellent technical writing skills</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Ability to work independently to complete tasks in a timely manner</li><li>Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with others</li></ul>Education: <ul><li>Requires a degree in mechanical design; BSME is preferred</li><li>Or technical degree with creative design ability and material handling design experience</li></ul>Experience: <ul><li>2-years of relevant work experience</li><li>Hydraulics / Pneumatics / Electro-Mechanical design</li><li>Project management</li><li>APQP/PPAP Quality experience a plus</li><li>Cost reduction experience a plus</li><li>Sales background a plus</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
