RESPONSIBILITIES 
Claim Negotiation &amp; Settlement
<ul>
<li>Negotiate and communicate first- and third-party total loss settlements per company and state guidelines across multiple jurisdictions (NY, NJ, PA, MA, CT).</li>
<li>Review damage estimates to confirm vehicles are total losses.</li>
<li>Settle claims within individual authority; escalate or seek supervisor approval when appropriate.</li>
<li>Prepare payments to vehicle owners, banks, and lease companies.</li>

Documentation &amp; Compliance
<ul>
<li>Document all settlements and actions in the claim file system.</li>
<li>Maintain an effective diary system on pending files to ensure timely resolution.</li>
<li>Adhere to privacy guidelines, laws, and regulations pertaining to claims handling.</li>
</ul>
Customer Communication
<ul>
<li>Keep insureds and claimants updated on claim status and emerging issues.</li>
<li>Act as an intermediary between the company, preferred vendors, and customers.</li>
<li>Resolve disputes professionally, even in adversarial situations.</li>

Vendor &amp; Salvage Coordination
<ul>
<li>Work directly with salvage vendors to move first-party vehicles and obtain salvage bids on third-party vehicles.</li>
<li>Ensure service, loss, and expense control are always maintained.</li>

Workflow &amp; Adaptability
<ul>
<li>Prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Adjust quickly to fluctuating workload.</li>
<li>Participate in catastrophic claim handling as requested.</li>

QUALIFICATIONS
<ul>
<li>College degree or equivalent experience.</li>
<li>1&ndash;2 years of claims handling or related insurance experience preferred.</li>
<li>Basic understanding of vehicle types, features, and terminology.</li>
<li>Familiarity with vehicle financing and leasing concepts.</li>

SALARY RANGE

The pay range for this position is $55,000 to $74,000 annually. Actual compensation will vary based on multiple factors, including employee knowledge and experience, role scope, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

Claims Representative, Total Loss

<div>The Auto Property Damage Claims Representative is responsible for managing Auto Property Damage claims within our &ldquo;Auto PD Claim Unit.&rdquo; This role demands a high level of customer service, patience, and professionalism while working in a fast-paced environment with significant phone interaction. RESPONSIBILITIES

Claims Associate, PD

<div>The Administrative Claims Specialist will be responsible for performing administrative and other duties as assigned. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul>
<li>Manual data entry of lawsuit information and medical claim bills in a paperless environment using dual monitors.</li>
<li>Research and indexing of legal related mail for claim updating and assignment</li>
<li>Keying of Claims checks including expenses, arbitration settlements, interest, etc.</li>
<li>Provider Service Unit Operator; utilizing customer service skills to provide information to medical providers regarding billing, and/or treatment requests.</li>
<li>Ability to use all available applications to answer questions, within our guidelines, prior to transferring calls.</li>
<li>Project Handling; Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Perform research and compile data onto an excel spreadsheet for analysis.</li>
<li>Report generation and distribution.</li>
<li>Review of Medical Bills; Review accuracy in billing, pre-certification compliance in accordance with the Decision Point Review Plan, and application of proper bill adjudication.</li>
<li>Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.</li>

QUALIFICATIONS

<div>We are currently seeking an auto claims representative to join our growing Personal Lines Auto team. This position will be based in our newly renovated Boston office, directly across the street from South Station. Responsibilities:

In this position you will be responsible for the investigation, evaluation and disposition of first- and third-party personal auto property damage claims. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position, currently 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home.
