</li></ul>Are you ready to make your mark? If you&rsquo;re a Supply Chain Engineering major, we have an exciting internship opportunity for you. We are seeking a motivated and analytical intern to join our Sourcing team as a Sourcing Product Cost Analyst . This position will provide direct support to our Advanced Sourcing Engineer and Sourcing Managers in evaluating cost-out opportunities across various commodities and product lines. The role offers hands-on experience in cost analysis, supplier engagement, and sourcing strategy development, while serving as a potential pipeline for future full-time roles within the Advanced Sourcing Engineering team .
The purpose of an internship at Woodward is to provide students with the opportunity to gain exposure and &ldquo;real life&rdquo; business acumen within the Aerospace and Energy Industry. Our internships also provide students with the opportunity to learn and gain practical experience and to work in areas related to their academic and/or career interests. What you will be doing
<ul><li>Collaborate with Advanced Sourcing Engineer to analyze product cost structures and identify cost reduction opportunities.
</li><li>Support Sourcing Managers in evaluating supplier quotes, cost breakdowns, and value engineering initiatives.
</li><li>Assist in preparing cost models, reports, and presentations for cross-functional reviews.
</li><li>Conduct market research and benchmarking to support sourcing decisions.
</li><li>Participate in supplier meetings and internal project reviews as needed.
</li><li>Document findings and recommendations in a clear, actionable format.
</li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the sourcing function.
</li></ul>What We Are Looking For
<ul><li>Effective written and verbal communication skills.
</li><li>Competent skills in problem solving and trouble-shooting.
</li><li>Competent in the use of PCs, MS Office Programs and other associated software.
</li><li>Ability to effectively operate in a team environment.

This position is for a Mechanical Designer to support Assembly and Test (A&amp;T) processes with tool design and development. Specific projects include developing assembly fixtures, developing test stands, sourcing tools for material handling, process improvement and automation with focuses on safety, Poka-Yoke, and expanding capabilities for new products, processes, equipment as well as enhancing existing processes.
What you will be doing&hellip;
<ul><li>Working with operations process engineers to create tooling to enable assembly processes (manual assembly, picking, pressing, crimping, guarding, torquing, testing) for new products and processes.
</li><li>Working with EHS and process teams to improve the safety and capability of existing processes through tooling, material handling, etc.
</li><li>Working with test engineering teams to develop test stands to safely, reliably gather data related to products as well as improve existing test equipment.
</li><li>Working with quality engineers and analysts to ensure assembly and test tooling meets customer requirements.
</li><li>Working with New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to design and/or modify existing tooling to accommodate new products.
</li><li>Collaborate across functions including Operations, EHS, Test, Quality, NPI, etc.
</li><li>Mentor junior designers in doing all the above.
</li></ul>What we are looking for&hellip;
<ul><li>An understanding of manufacturing, assembly and test processes and an ability to learn new ones.
</li><li>Ability to conceptualize and design 3D models of parts, assemblies, fixtures and tooling (We use CREO).
</li><li>An understanding of Product Lifecycle Management tools (We use Windchill).
</li><li>An ability to understand and apply Geometric Dimension &amp; Tolerancing.
</li><li>An ability to understand and apply tolerance stack-ups.
</li><li>An understanding of Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), design for automation, Poka-Yoke and best, safe-practices for assembly and test.
</li><li>The ability to work within a cross functional team, communicate well, and convey concepts clearly.
</li></ul>Level 2:
<ul><li>Some vocational, college level courses, 2-year degree, technical certificate or applicable experience
</li><li>Less than 2 years with MCAD drafting experience, general machining, fabrication, and manufacturing knowledge
</li></ul>Level 3:
<ul><li>2 year technical degree, certificate, or applicable experience. Continuing education as it relates to the position required
</li><li>5 plus years of Designer experience or combination of Bachelors degree or International equivalent and experience
