1. Land Measurement and Data Collection<ul><li>Conduct field surveys to measure land features, elevations, and boundaries using instruments like Total Station, GPS, and theodolites.</li><li>Record and analyze survey data, including distances, angles, and elevations.</li><li>Prepare topographical maps, contour maps, and site plans for engineering and construction use.</li></ul>2. Boundary and Property Surveys<ul><li>Determine and mark property boundaries in accordance with legal descriptions and deeds.</li><li>Resolve boundary disputes through accurate measurement and documentation.</li><li>Prepare legal survey reports for land registration or transfer purposes.</li></ul>3. Construction and Engineering Surveys<ul><li>Provide layout and setting out for roads, buildings, bridges, and other structures.</li><li>Ensure that construction works are executed in the correct position and level according to design drawings.</li><li>Verify alignment, elevation, and dimensions during all stages of construction.</li></ul>4. Quantity and Level Calculations<ul><li>Calculate earthwork quantities (cut and fill) for excavation and embankment works.</li><li>Prepare volume and area calculations for project cost estimation.</li><li>Assist in preparing quantity take-offs based on survey data for billing and planning.</li></ul>5. Data Processing and Mapping<ul><li>Process survey data using software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, or Survey Pro.</li><li>Create digital terrain models (DTMs) and site contour maps.</li><li>Maintain accurate records and databases of survey results and maps.</li></ul>6. Coordination and Collaboration<ul><li>Work closely with engineers, architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure accurate data usage.</li><li>Participate in project planning meetings to provide input on land and site conditions.</li><li>Supervise or guide survey assistants or junior surveyors in the field.</li></ul>7. Compliance and Safety<ul><li>Ensure all survey work complies with local regulations, land laws, and safety standards.</li><li>Maintain calibration and accuracy of survey instruments.</li><li>Follow safety protocols during fieldwork, especially in construction or remote areas.</li></ul>8.
