Position Overview</b></h2><p>
We are seeking a Level 1 IT Helpdesk Technician who is eager to hit the ground running, solve problems effectively, build strong relationships with end users, and represent Point North Networks with professionalism and care. This is a hands-on role providing first-line support to our managed clients, with opportunities to grow into higher-level technical positions. You will work primarily from our Inver Grove Heights office, with on-site client visits as needed.</p><p><br>
</p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Key Responsibilities</b></h2><ul><li>
Provide first-hour resolution for support tickets via phone, email, remote tools, and on-site service</li><li>
Handle minor project tasks as assigned by senior team members</li><li>
Onboard new users and devices, including delivery to client locations</li><li>
Perform initial warranty and vendor support assistance</li><li>
Recognize issues that may require escalation and recommend proactive project solutions</li><li>
Securely handle data destruction prior to device disposal</li><li>
Document all client interactions, issues, and resolutions thoroughly</li><li>
Monitor and resolve common system alerts (e.g., low disk space, event logs, backup/restore issues)</li><li>
Assist with PC builds, installations, and basic system administration when needed</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>

Qualifications &amp; Skills</b></h2><ul><li>
Excellent communication and customer relationship skills &mdash; you enjoy helping people and can stay positive and lighthearted even in challenging situations</li><li>
Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt quickly to varied client environments</li><li>
Basic technical knowledge, including:
<ul><li>Windows OS (workstations and servers)</li>
<li>Basic networking (TCP/IP protocols and related technologies)</li>

Comfort with occasional night/weekend work for emergencies or scheduled maintenance (limited)</li><li>
