Job Summary:</h1>
The IV Pharmacy Technician works under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. Required duties are pursuant to specific Board of Pharmacy defined technician tasks, which may include, accurately filling prescriptions, preparing Sterile Compounding medications, entering computer data, following standard procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Clean and maintain Sterile Compounding room and QA as per USP 797 guidelines for a state law as directed by supervisor</li><li>
Work under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, fill prescriptions and prepare Sterile Compounding according to Polaris standards of quality, customer service, productivity guidelines, and State Board of Pharmacy regulations</li><li>
Knowledge of Long Term and Post- Acute Care</li><li>
Stage, Prep, and fill orders for residents at long-term care facilities and high-risk pregnant women</li><li>
Compound Sterile Compounding orders in a Class 100 clean room as directed by Pharmacists, IV Supervisor, and/or Director of Pharmacy</li><li>
Responsible for data entry
</li><li>Assist pharmacist with calling care facilities</li><li>
Maintain, clean and account for pumps</li><li>
File, answer phones, and stock areas in the IV department as appropriate and directed by supervisor</li><li>
Work with Lead IV Technician to maintain a clean/safe work environment, check equipment for calibration, safety, and cleanliness</li><li>
Replenish and maintain Emergency Drug Kits (EDK) provided to Long Term and Post-Acute Care Facilities</li><li>
Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA</li><li>
Communicate with Pharmacist, Supervisor, or Lead Technician about any concerns regarding USP 797 and Operations</li><li>
Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code</li><li>
Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected</li><li>

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice</li><li>
Minimum of one (1) year working as an IV pharmacy technician required (long-term care pharmacy preferred)</li><li>
Knowledge of brand name/generic medications
</li><li>Experience working with medications, IV&rsquo;s, and filling prescriptions required</li><li>
Order entry and insurance billing experience required</li></ul>

Job Summary:</h1>
The Order Entry Technician is responsible for entering prescriptions and refills into the pharmacy system with both speed and accuracy. These technicians must be responsive and courteous when addressing customer needs. Successful technicians are dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers, understanding customer information, and using it to improve the products and services they deliver. Their responsibilities include entering new and refill prescriptions, resolving customer questions and requests, contributing to continuous improvement, complying with safety policies, and adhering to applicable government regulations, including HIPPA.
SCHEDULE: 3:30pm - 12:00am with rotating weekends

Address and respond to customer inquiries and requests.</li><li>
Actively contribute to the evaluation and continuous improvement of client services, policies, and procedures.</li><li>
