POSITION SUMMARY
The 3D printing industry is one of the most exciting and fast-growing industries in the world today and Polymaker is part of the momentum. Polymaker develops, produces and markets high value materials for 3D printing. Our company is growing fast and can be described as young, open and energetic. Polymaker has been active in the US since 2013. We have built up a network of channel partners who serve end users from all over the States. Our end users are hobbyists, professionals and industrial customers who 3D print high quality parts using our filaments. Out of our new Houston office we currently manage the sales, marketing and operations for the North America region. The Purchaser is a key role in our procurement and is responsible for sourcing and purchasing direct / indirect materials of our production and warehouse facility in North America business. He/she will require to conduct vendor evaluation, costs analysis, order expedition, and manage delivery lead time for both local and overseas. This role directly reports to Logistics Manager and works closely with other members of the production and warehouse team.
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Coordinate procurement activities and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished products.</li><li>
Maintain up-to-date pricing for intercompany and external suppliers to support accurate and efficient purchase order placement.</li><li>
Manage and support new product launches, product conversions, and life cycle management initiatives.</li><li>
Forecast inventory availability against business demand and production planning across US and China facilities to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.</li><li>
Analyze supply chain data and performance metrics to identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.</li><li>
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Production, and Finance teams to align supply chain strategies with overall business objectives.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.</li><li>
Support logistics operations including shipping, receiving, and transportation management.</li><li>
Maintain accurate documentation of inventory levels, shipments, and supplier contracts.</li><li>
Assist in the development and execution of supply chain optimization and efficiency initiatives.</li></ul>
Preferred Experience Background<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.</li><li>
1-2 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics operations.</li><li>
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP or Oracle is highly desirable.</li><li>
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.</li><li>
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</li><li>
Experience with international sourcing and global logistics operations.</li><li>
Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.</li><li>
Familiarity with sustainability practices in supply chain management.</li><li>
Bilingual in Mandarin is a strong advantage, especially for coordination with China-based operations.</li></ul>
