Our team of designers, project managers, and construction professionals share a unified mission&mdash;to deliver the outdoor living spaces our clients dream of, with excellence in every detail.THE ROLEThe Senior Designer &amp; Sales Professional is responsible for generating new business, designing premium outdoor living spaces, and guiding clients through the full sales process with expertise, confidence, and relationship-first professionalism.This is not an entry-level role. The ideal candidate has 5&ndash;10 years of professional sales and design experience in the pool, landscape, or outdoor living &amp; construction industry, demonstrates strong technical and design acumen, and thrives in a performance-driven environment.We are looking for a true hunter&mdash;someone with the &ldquo;eye of the tiger,&rdquo; who takes ownership of their success, actively builds their own pipeline, and values long-term client relationships over transactional selling.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSales &amp; Business Development<ul><li>Proactively build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified prospects through daily/weekly prospecting activities, referrals, relationship networks, and self-generated lead activity.</li><li>Drive the full sales cycle from initial client engagement through contract signing and handoff to construction.</li><li>Demonstrate strong value-based selling skills-educating clients on quality, craftsmanship, and long-term value rather than competing on price.</li><li>Deliver clear, professional proposals and articulate all design, pricing, and project elements with accuracy and confidence.</li><li>Attend local networking events, builder/landscaper meetings, Chamber activities, and targeted community events to grow brand presence and referral relationships.</li></ul>Design &amp; Technical Expertise<ul><li>Design visually compelling and structurally sound pools and outdoor living spaces using Pool Studio or comparable 3D design software.</li><li>Evaluate client properties, conduct accurate measurements, and apply technical expertise to ensure designs are functional, compliant, and buildable.</li><li>Collaborate with drafting, engineering, and permitting teams to ensure timely and complete project submissions.</li><li>Bring creative solutions to complex or unique site conditions.</li></ul>Client Experience &amp; Communication<ul><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for all client interactions throughout the design and sales phase.</li><li>Build trust through transparency, responsiveness, and educated guidance on materials, features, and construction expectations.</li><li>Ensure a seamless transition from sales to construction via a professional, detailed handoff.</li><li>Maintain high standards of follow-through, communication, and overall customer experience.</li></ul>Performance &amp; Team Alignment<ul><li>Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals related to new contracts, revenue volume, pricing accuracy, and customer satisfaction.</li><li>Participate in team meetings, ongoing coaching, and continuous learning opportunities.</li><li>Maintain CRM accuracy for all leads, opportunities, forecasts, and pipeline activity.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>5&ndash;10 years of professional sales experience in pools, landscape construction, outdoor living, home renovation, or related industries.</li><li>Proven track record of top performance, quota achievement, and strong closing ratios.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to self-generate leads and build strong referral networks.</li><li>Strong technical aptitude and ability to read site conditions, plans, and construction concepts.</li><li>Proficient with 3D design software (Pool Studio preferred), Microsoft Office, and CRM platforms.</li><li>Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on deadlines.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $90,000.00 - $250,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Tuition reimbursement</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>What interests you about this role at Pools by Design?</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Sales: 5 years (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
