POSITION SUMMARY: Visit Port Aransas is seeking a creative, strategic, and detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to support the execution of marketing and communications initiatives that promote Port Aransas as Texas' premier family beach destination. This role contributes to strengthening the Port Aransas brand, supporting sustainable year-round tourism, enhancing stakeholder engagement, and advancing data-driven marketing efforts.The Marketing Coordinator assists with content development, campaign execution, public relations support, hosted media coordination, and performance reporting. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, highly organized project manager, and collaborative team member who understands the impact of destination marketing on community vitality and responsible tourism growth.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Marketing &amp; Content Development<ul><li>Assist in planning and executing destination marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives.</li><li>Write and edit blog articles, website content, partner features, and promotional copy.</li><li>Assist in development and distribution of e-newsletters, including content creation and layout coordination.</li><li>Support content development for digital platforms and marketing materials</li><li>Help maintain website updates, partner listings, and content accuracy</li></ul>Public Relations Support<ul><li>Assist with media relations efforts, including drafting press releases, pitches, and media materials.</li><li>Coordinate itineraries for influencers, travel writers, and media visits, including lodging, dining, activities, and partner communication.</li><li>Serve as a support contact for hosted media and influencer visits.</li><li>Track media placements and coverage results.</li></ul>Data &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Develop and maintain systems for tracking marketing and PR performance metrics</li><li>Monitor and report on website analytics, campaign performance, email engagement, and media coverage</li><li>Assist in compiling monthly and annual marketing and PR reports</li><li>Support data collection for strategic planning and budget evaluation</li></ul>General Coordination<ul><li>Maintain organized marketing calendars, project timelines, and contact databases</li><li>Assist with familiarization tours, hosted events, and promotional activities</li><li>Represent Visit Port Aransas in a professional and positive manner at meetings and community events</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in marketing, communications, tourism, public relations, or related field (or equivalent experience)</li><li>1&ndash;3 years of experience in marketing, communications, tourism, or hospitality preferred</li><li>Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills</li><li>Excellent organizational and time management abilities</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously</li><li>Analytical mindset with comfort working with marketing data and reporting tools</li><li>Professional communication skills and ability to work with partners, vendors, and media</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Schedule:<ul><li>Monday to Friday</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Port Aransas, TX 78373
