<div>The Port of Skagit is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our facilities team. This is a hands-on position responsible for maintaining and repairing Port buildings, equipment, and infrastructure across a variety of properties including the airport, marina, and business parks. We are especially interested in candidates with HVAC troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance experience, along with general maintenance skills.

What You&rsquo;ll Do

In this role you will perform a variety of skilled maintenance and repair work across Port facilities. Projects may include HVAC diagnostics and repair, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, equipment maintenance, and general building repairs. You may also assist with facility improvements, grounds work, and preventative maintenance. You&rsquo;ll respond to maintenance requests, track work orders in the Port&rsquo;s maintenance system, and occasionally assist other maintenance staff with complex repairs or projects. 


What We're Looking For

Required
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>
<li>At least 3 years of facilities or equipment maintenance experience</li>
<li>Experience with HVAC troubleshooting, repair, or maintenance</li>
<li>Ability to operate common maintenance tools and equipment</li>
<li>Valid Washington State driver&rsquo;s license (must be insurable)</li>
</ul>
Preferred
<ul>
<li>Trade school or technical training</li>
<li>Experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or welding</li>
<li>Experience operating maintenance or construction equipment</li></ul> 


Work Environment

This position works both indoors and outdoors across Port facilities and may involve working in various weather conditions. The role includes walking on uneven surfaces and lifting up to 50 pounds. 


Pay &amp; Benefits

Wage Range: $26.59 &ndash; $39.88 per hour

Maintenance Technician II (HVAC Focus)

<div>The Port of Skagit is seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Technician I to join our facilities team. This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to build experience in facilities maintenance, equipment repair, and grounds maintenance. In this role, you will support the maintenance and upkeep of Port facilities including the airport, marina, and business parks. You&rsquo;ll work alongside experienced technicians performing preventative maintenance, facility repairs, and general maintenance tasks that help keep Port operations running smoothly.

What You&rsquo;ll Do

As a Maintenance Technician I, you will perform a variety of routine maintenance tasks across Port facilities. Work may include facility inspections, grounds maintenance, pressure washing, debris removal, and assisting senior technicians with plumbing, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and other maintenance projects. 
You will also help maintain clean and safe facilities, respond to maintenance requests, and track maintenance activities in the Port&rsquo;s work order system. Projects may include lighting repairs, dock maintenance, trail maintenance, stormwater system upkeep, and general facility improvements across Port properties. 
What We're Looking For

Required
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>
<li>At least 1 year of facilities maintenance or similar experience</li>
<li>Ability to safely operate common hand tools and equipment</li>
<li>Valid Washington State driver&rsquo;s license (must be insurable)</li>
</ul>
Helpful Experience
<ul>
<li>Experience with landscaping or grounds maintenance</li>
<li>Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or mechanical systems</li>
<li>Experience operating maintenance or construction equipment</li>
<li>Technical or trade school coursework in maintenance-related fields</li></ul> 


Work Environment

This position works both indoors and outdoors across Port properties. Work may occur in various weather conditions and may require standing, walking on uneven surfaces, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
