Essential Duties:
<ul>
<li>Process weekly payrolls for assigned groups, assuring accuracy and timeliness, and issuing manual checks as needed.</li>
<li>Research and analyze discrepancies and process adjustments as necessary.</li>
<li>Cross check other team members&rsquo; payroll entries.</li>
<li>Answer payroll data entry questions, and work closely with union reps / manager to ensure compliance with union contracts.</li>
<li>Assist with internal and external quarterly and annual audits.</li>
<li>Responsible for maintaining filing, and organizing payroll files on the shared drive</li>
<li>Prepares wires and check request for weekly, monthly and quarterly union dues, deductions, and pension and welfare man hour contributions.</li>
<li>Sets up and cancels payroll garnishments with payroll providers and answers writ of garnishment to agencies.</li>
<li>Update spread sheets with wire and ACH payments to ensure proper funding for payroll and other disbursement payments. Complete spread sheets for the general ledger work up for the accounting department.</li>
<li>Maintain a current copy of the CBAs to ensure all special compensations are processed timely</li>
<li>Responsible for generating/creating all standard and ad hoc reports for various departments as requested</li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>

<ul><li>Hybrid work schedule - 3 days in office and 2 days remote</li>
<li>Office environment, filing, lifting record keeping boxes</li></ul> 


Minimum Requirements:
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent AND 2+ years experience working in a high volume, full cycle, multi-state payroll environment</li>
</ul>
Preferred Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Associate&rsquo;s degree or 2 or more years of experience working in a high volume, full cycle, multi-state payroll environment, preferred</li>
<li>1+ years UKG Experience</li>
<li>1+ years Union Labor payroll experience</li>
<li>3+ years of experience in data entry working in an office environment</li>
<li>Fundamentals of Payroll Certificate (FPC) Preferred</li>
<li>Familiar with Federal and State Payroll Tax Laws</li>
<li>Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.</li>
<li>Excellent customer service and communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work as a team player in a high-volume payroll department.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with little or no supervision</li>
<li>Ability to remain calm and in control under pressure</li></ul>
