<div>Job Summary:

This position is responsible for any fabrication necessary and on time production of parts. This position includes GMAW, MIG welding, grinding panels, fitting pipes and tightening them, cutting different materials on different machines and processes, and maintaining the upkeep as necessary on welding equipment. The focus of this position is producing quality fabricated to spec steel parts in a timely and satisfactory manner.

Minimum Qualifications: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills):
<ul><li>Minimum 3 years of welding experience for level II.</li>
<li>Must be able to read, comprehend, and apply a WPS.</li>
<li>Capable of passing a steel plate GMAW fillet visual test in the 2F position, 1G GMAW test.</li>
<li>Must be able to set up oxyfuel and plasma torch as well as be able to make clean square cuts, straight cuts, beveled cuts, and wash welds.</li>
<li>Follow and advise on all safety procedures.</li>
<li>Advanced ability to comprehend and interpret sketches / blueprints.</li>
<li>Skilled in the safe and correct use of all hand tools.</li>
<li>Certified in the use of all overhead cranes and fork trucks.</li>
<li>Accurately read a tape measure and other measuring devices such as pressure gauges, fillet weld gauges, and levels.</li>
<li>Must have track record of consistent and timely attendance.</li>
<li>Ability to cooperate with a team and take directions from supervisors as well as other peers and level III welders.</li>
<li>Capable of operating the band saw, ironworkers, bench grinder, and port-a-band.</li>
<li>Must be competent enough to determine if their own work is complete and correct as specified by instructions, drawings and specifications.</li>
<li>Work independently or cooperatively with little hands-on instructions.</li>
<li>Must have a solid understanding of weld joints and weld symbols.</li>
<li>Ability to interpret blueprints / engineering sketches and correctly assemble them.</li>
<li>Must be able to perform routine machine maintenance and trouble shoot issues.</li>
<li>Ability to operate welder and replace gas cylinder or other parts.</li>
<li>Ability to use hand and power tools.</li>
</ul>
 Job Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>The main function of this role is the welding and grinding of skids, tanks, SCR stands, and cable trays. The welder will reference engineering documents to guide them in the building of structures and the fabrication of parts.</li>
<li>Additional responsibilities and objectives will be added as needed based on business and area of needs.</li>
</ul>
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
<ul><li>Must be able to lift 50lbs, manipulate heavy test equipment, and cables.</li>
<li>Manual dexterity to operate digital equipment, including computers and PLC&rsquo;s, protective relays, controllers, and other such equipment with small fine buttons and operators.</li>
<li>Required to stand and walk for extended periods of time on the manufacturing floor throughout the day.</li>
<li>The work environment associated with this role can take place either indoors or outdoors depending on the nature of the project. Tolerance for various weather elements may be necessary. This is an active manufacturing setting; at times it will be noisy, and equipment will be moving.</li>
