We operate mining leases and beneficiation plants supplying processed graphite to steel, foundry, refractory, lubricant, and battery industries across India.With expanding operations at Rayagada and multiple plant locations, we are looking for a strong, experienced Senior Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting, compliance, and commercial coordination.PositionSenior AccountantLocation: Rayagada, OdishaReporting To: Commercial Manager / GMO / HO Accounts TeamMandatory RequirementThis role is strictly for candidates with hands-on accounting experience in mining, manufacturing, beneficiation plants, or heavy industry environments. Experience limited to trading or office-only accounting will not be preferred.Key Responsibilities1) Accounting &amp; Bookkeeping<ul><li>Maintain complete books of accounts for plant and site operations.</li><li>Handle day-to-day accounting entries including cash, bank, journal, and ledger postings.</li><li>Maintain cash book, bank book, and ledger reconciliation on a regular basis.</li><li>Ensure accurate posting of expenses related to production, maintenance, transport, power, diesel, consumables, and job works.</li><li>Monitor cost heads related to beneficiation operations and plant activities.</li></ul>2) Billing, Payments &amp; Vendor Management<ul><li>Process and verify bills related to raw material handling, transporters, contractors, job work agencies, maintenance vendors, and service providers.</li><li>Prepare payment vouchers and ensure timely payments after proper approval.</li><li>Maintain vendor ledgers and follow up for reconciliations.</li><li>Track outstanding payables and ensure proper control on advances and settlements.</li></ul>3) GST, Statutory &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Handle GST compliance including inward and outward entries, return preparation, reconciliation, and filing.</li><li>Ensure proper accounting of input tax credit related to plant, mining, and transport activities.</li><li>Coordinate with consultants for GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory matters.</li><li>Maintain records for audits, inspections, and statutory reviews.</li></ul>4) Payroll, Wages &amp; Labour Accounting<ul><li>Handle accounting related to staff salaries, plant labour, and contract labour payments.</li><li>Verify attendance, overtime, and wage sheets received from plant and site teams.</li><li>Ensure correct accounting of wages, contractor bills, and statutory deductions.</li><li>Support HR and site teams in payroll-related documentation.</li></ul>5) Plant &amp; Mining Commercial Coordination<ul><li>Coordinate closely with Plant Incharge, Production, Stores, and Maintenance teams for cost tracking.</li><li>Verify material receipts, consumption, and stock valuation in coordination with stores.</li><li>Assist in accounting for spares, consumables, fuel, and lubricants used in beneficiation plants.</li><li>Support despatch-related accounting including freight, loading, and transporter bills.</li></ul>6) MIS, Reporting &amp; Controls<ul><li>Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS related to expenses, payments, and plant costs.</li><li>Support preparation of cost statements, expense summaries, and variance reports.</li><li>Assist HO in consolidation of Rayagada unit accounts.</li><li>Ensure proper filing and documentation of vouchers, bills, and supporting records.</li></ul>7) Audit &amp; Inspection Support<ul><li>Assist internal and statutory auditors during audits.</li><li>Ensure availability of records for inspections by statutory authorities.</li><li>Rectify audit observations and ensure compliance closure.</li></ul>Eligibility Criteria<ul><li>B.Com / M.Com (CA Inter preferred).</li><li>Minimum 10 years of accounting experience in mining, manufacturing, beneficiation plants, or heavy industrial units.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, statutory compliance, and plant accounting.</li><li>Experience in handling cash, bank transactions, and vendor payments.</li><li>Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and basic MIS preparation.</li><li>Ability to coordinate with plant, site, and HO teams.</li></ul>Preferred Qualities<ul><li>High level of accuracy, discipline, and integrity.</li><li>Ability to handle pressure and deadlines.</li><li>Strong coordination and communication skills.</li><li>Process-driven and well-organized approach.</li><li>Willingness to stay and work in Rayagada location.</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>Competitive salary based on experience and capability.</li><li>Long-term and stable role with a reputed industrial group.</li><li>Exposure to mining and beneficiation accounting operations.</li><li>Structured working environment with clear reporting systems.</li><li>Opportunity to grow with expanding projects.</li></ul>How to ApplyInterested candidates may WhatsApp their resume to:+91-73384-05666Or email at:info@pradhanindustries.comJoin Pradhan Industries &ndash; Process Excellence.
