Paralegal/Legal Assistant A Wilmington based and rapidly growing law firm is seeking a full-time paralegal/legal assistant to add to our fast-paced and highly motivated team. The ideal candidate is also detail oriented and has the ability to multitask.Duties<ul><li>Assist in administrative duties such as scheduling, filing lawsuits and making sure all parties have been properly served.</li><li>Assist in the retrieval of medical records.</li><li>Compiles evidence and supporting information by searching records, discovery documents, medical records, and databases; interviewing clients, third parties, and expert witnesses.</li><li>Prepares legal documents for attorney's approval and use.</li><li>Prepares exhibits, affidavits, and other legal documents.</li><li>Begins legal action by arranging for notice and subpoena service.</li><li>Oversees cases by managing files and documents; coordinating with support services and clients, the courts, opposing counsel; managing trial calendar; maintaining schedules and deadlines; and processing settlement papers.</li><li>Assists attorneys for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial by preparing notebooks, exhibits, and witness files.</li><li>Prepares witnesses by detailing background information, preparing interview summaries and statements.</li><li>Assist attorney with summarizing deposition, arbitration, hearing, trial, and other transcripts.</li><li>Contributes to team effort as needed.</li></ul>Skills/QualificationsWestLaw, Lexis File&amp;Serve, Legal Compliance, Research Skills, Analyzing Information, Administrative Writing Skills, Communicating well with Clients, Court Staff, and Medical Professionals, Multi-tasking, Organizational Skills, Legal Administration Skills.Experience as a paralegal is required.Industry<ul><li>Law Practice</li></ul>Employment TypeFull-timeJob Functions<ul><li>Legal</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:Salary: Negotiable<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Schedule:&middot; Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:<ul><li>Wilmington, DE: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)</li><li>Hybrid environment with 3 days in office / 2 days work from home once fully trained</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Paralegals &amp; Legal Assistants: 1 year (Required)</li><li>Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)</li></ul>Interested candidates should send a copy of their resume with salary requirements to:Cheryl A.
