What You Will Do:
Provide support to manufacturing operations and drive process improvement to improve the company&rsquo;s quality and delivery signature utilizing quality metrics and MRL elements such as PFMEA, Control Plan &amp; Gage R&amp;R as needed. The Product ME will be responsible for a specific part or part family. The scope of this role will include PW internal shop and may also include supply chain support components.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
With specific parts ownership, this role will provide direct support to the manufacturing shop floor and drive manufacturing process improvements across multiple process steps that spans the full value stream of the parts.</li><li>
Provide focused &amp; effective leadership in the advancement of MRL elements to drive manufacturing risk identification and mitigation to achieve superior quality performance as needed.</li><li>
Identify &amp; implement process optimization &amp; control methods to eliminate/prevent quality turn backs /escapes and reduce overall product costs.</li><li>
As a key member of the Integrated Product Team (IPT), significant interaction with product designers, tool designers, quality assurance, systems designers, and other stakeholders is required</li><li>
Perform Root cause analysis and corrective actions on non-conforming product using statistical analysis tools and other methods as necessary.</li><li>
Drive targeted manufacturing process optimization activities through MRL tools such as Value Stream Mapping and Process Flow Diagram, PFMEA, Control Plans, Measurement Systems Analysis, Yield &amp; Cost curves and Qualification plan.</li><li>
The discipline and follow-through to fully document problem statements, observations, conclusions, calculations and recommendations.</li><li>
Work with senior management:</li><li>
Support the project pipeline process to select, prioritize and scope projects to business objectives, integrated with other continuous improvement activities and ACE/CORE initiatives.</li><li>
Schedule and facilitate project reviews and ensure validation of MRL gate advancements. Use effective scorecards and metrics to ensure progress.</li><li>
Lead significant projects critical to improve manufacturing process capability &amp; quality performance</li><li>
Represent the organization in various forums related to MRL execution. Develop standard work, procedures, and integrate industry-standard best practices.</li><li>
Communicate lessons learned to product development/engineering to enable implementation of design for variation (DFV) and robust design methods (DFSS).</li><li>
Other operational organizations for read across implementation.</li></ul>
Qualifications You Must Have:<ul><li>
B.S. in Engineering or related field and minimum 10 years experience in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field or in lieu of degree 15+ years of relevant experience in Manufacturing Engineering environment.</li><li>
Extensive experience managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously</li><li>
Extensive experience reading and interpreting blueprints</li><li>

What You Will Do:
The Senior Durable Tooling Designer supports the design and manufacturing of NPI durable tooling in their assigned area(s). Durable tooling includes machining fixtures, gauges, lifting devices, and material handling equipment to support Module Centers &amp; Operations (MC&amp;O). This position operates within the durable tooling value stream and serves as a conduit between internal stakeholders, Operational Excellence, OEM design services, and tooling OEMs. You are a self-directed team player operating with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Analyze tooling packages from Manufacturing Engineering to understand scope-of-work requirements.</li><li>
Conduct concept and layout approval design reviews to support NPI programs.</li><li>
Calculate cost estimates for tool design and manufacturing projects.</li><li>
Complete export reviews for jurisdiction and classification of tool drawings, CAD files, and tooling commodities.</li><li>

Function Description

What You Will Do
Project Material Control (PMC) is an organization within Pratt &amp; Whitney Engineering under Development Operations, dedicated to supporting the rapid growth in new engine programs. PMC is looking for high energy, motivated, self-starters to drive high performance support as an analyst of the next generation of turbine engine hardware. The Principal Coatings Manufacturing Engineer will lead Vapor Phase Aluminide (VPA) Coating processes within our advanced aerospace manufacturing operations at the Asheville, NC site. This role will be responsible for driving process excellence, implementing best practices, supporting production needs, qualifying new equipment, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee&rsquo;s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate&rsquo;s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

What You Will Do:
The New Product Introduction (NPI) Durable Tooling Designer supports the design and manufacturing of NPI durable tooling in their assigned area(s). Durable tooling includes machining fixtures, gauges, lifting devices, and material handling equipment to support Module Centers &amp; Operations (MC&amp;O). This position operates within the durable tooling value stream and serves as a conduit between internal stakeholders, Operational Excellence, OEM design services, and tooling OEMs. You are a self-directed team player operating with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Analyze tooling packages from Manufacturing Engineering to understand scope-of-work requirements.</li><li>
Conduct concept and layout approval design reviews to support NPI programs.</li><li>
Calculate cost estimates for tool design and manufacturing projects.</li><li>
Complete export reviews for jurisdiction and classification of tool drawings, CAD files, and tooling commodities.</li><li>
Approve and release durable tooling reference packages for design, manufacturing, alteration, and/or repair.</li><li>
Participate and adhere to cross-training practices to broaden your expertise and overall business process capacity across the Module Centers &amp; Operations (MC&amp;O) organization.</li><li>
Disposition supplier non-conformances for accept, reject, or repair and lead supplier to complete RRCA for all escapes.</li><li>
Contribute to continuous improvement projects as required.</li><li>
Execute to Manufacturing Engineering Specifications and Manufacturing Engineering Instructions.</li><li>
Candidate will be operationally and technically involved with any tool management software launches pursued by their assigned Module Center.</li><li>
Must be able to review drawings and concepts and resolve producibility concerns.</li></ul>
Qualifications You Must Have:<ul><li>
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations OR Advanced Degree in a related field OR In absence of a degree, 5 years of relevant experience is required.</li><li>
Must be a US Citizen.</li><li>
Experience in dimension and geometric tolerance of tooling prints and models.</li><li>
The candidate must be proficient in NX or similar CAD software.</li><li>
Proficient in reading and interpreting 2-D drawings, 3-D CAD models, and GD&amp;T (ASME Y14.5), ability to design for manufacturing simplicity, and a strong understanding of technical blueprints.</li><li>
Strong Office 365 experience (e.g., Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.).</li></ul>
Qualifications We Prefer:<ul><li>
Experience in Teamcenter and SAP.</li><li>
Knowledge of Global Trade Compliance requirements.</li><li>
Familiarity with model-based definition (MBD).</li><li>
