The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing intricate 3D models for medical device components and systems. This role requires expertise in 3D CAD software and a thorough understanding of the medical device industry standards and regulations.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>3D Modelling and Design: Utilize advanced 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo) to design and develop detailed models of medical device components and systems.</li></ul><ul><li>Prototyping and Simulation: Create prototypes using additive manufacturing (3D printing) technologies. Conduct simulations and analysis (FEA, CFD) to test and validate designs.</li></ul><ul><li>Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all designs comply with relevant medical device regulations and standards, including ISO 13485, FDA guidelines, and CE marking requirements.</li></ul><ul><li>Documentation: Maintain detailed design documentation, including specifications, test protocols, and compliance reports. Ensure all records are accurate and meet regulatory requirements.</li></ul><ul><li>Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with electrical engineers, software developers, quality assurance, and regulatory teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs with other system components.</li></ul><ul><li>Project Management: Manage design projects from concept to production, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.</li></ul><ul><li>Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in design processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques to enhance product performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.</li></ul><ul><li>Customer Support: Provide technical support to customers and address issues related to the mechanical design of medical devices.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A master&rsquo;s degree is preferred.</li></ul><ul><li>Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on 3D modelling and medical device development.</li></ul><ul><li>Technical Skills: Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc) and simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD). Experience with medical device prototyping and manufacturing, particularly 3D printing technologies.</li></ul><ul><li>Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of medical device regulations and standards (ISO 13485, FDA, CE marking).</li></ul><ul><li>Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and develop effective solutions.</li></ul><ul><li>Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to clearly convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li></ul><ul><li>Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
