Maintenance Engineer Job Description: Duties and responsibilities: <ul><li>Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of equipment and machinery.</li><li>Troubleshoot and diagnose problems and develop and execute maintenance plans to minimize downtime and disruptions.</li><li>Analyse data to identify trends, diagnose problems and develop solutions to improve equipment reliability and performance.</li><li>Collaborate with production teams, management and suppliers to develop and execute maintenance plans that meet organizational goals and priorities</li><li>Ensure that those conducting maintenance activities are in compliance with safety standards and regulations, and identify and mitigate potential safety hazards</li><li>Develop and maintain technical documentation, schematics and procedures to support maintenance activities</li><li>Participate in ongoing training and development programmes to enhance skills and knowledge</li></ul>Other responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer: <ul><li>Ordering and tracking spare parts and equipment: These employees ensure that respective departments place orders for and track the delivery schedules of spare parts and equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for process planning, operational efficiency, safety compliance, and maintaining product quality in a highly controlled environment.Responsibilities:&middot; Supervise and manage daily operations of rhodium and gold plating solution production.&middot; Monitor raw material usage, yield efficiencies, and process parameters to ensure consistent product quality.&middot; Collaborate with R&amp;D and quality teams to scale up lab processes to commercial production.&middot; Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards.&middot; Maintain accurate production records, SOPs, batch sheets, and logbooks.&middot; Handle process troubleshooting, equipment maintenance coordination, and root cause analysis.&middot; Train and supervise plant operators and technical staff.Candidate Requirements:&middot; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Chemical Engineering or Production Engineering (mandatory).&middot; 1&ndash;5 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in precious metal production, refining, or chemical processing.&middot; Strong understanding of hydrometallurgy, inorganic chemistry, and high-purity metal production is preferred.&middot; Familiarity with hazardous chemical handling, safety protocols, and effluent treatment.&middot; Experience with rhodium, platinum group metals (PGMs), or similar high-value chemical production.&middot; Exposure to NABL or ISO-certified lab/production setupsSkills and Competencies:&middot; Analytical mindset with a strong problem-solving approach.&middot; Knowledge of process control systems, instrumentation, and plant operations.&middot; Good documentation, report writing, and communication skills.&middot; Ability to work in a cleanroom or high-purity lab environment.Job Type: Full-timePay: &#8377;15,000.00 - &#8377;25,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Food provided</li><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Work Location: In person
