Precise Tool &amp; Manufacturing Inc.</b> is recruiting for a skilled <b>Equipment Maintenance Mechanic.</b></p><p><b><br>
JOB SUMMARY:</b></p><p>
Under the direct supervision of the Equipment/Facilities Maintenance Group Leader, the Equipment Maintenance Mechanic position is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of the CNC machinery and equipment.</p><p><b>
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</b></p><ul><li>
Assemble and install machinery and equipment to include wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing and programming to meet specifications.</li><li>
Study blueprints and manufacturers&rsquo; manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery and equipment.</li><li>
Prepare requisition for parts and materials needed to perform the job and record parts and materials used.</li><li>
Analyze test results, machine error messages and information obtained from operators to identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems. Repair or replace defective parts and reassemble machinery and equipment.</li><li>
Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions using voltmeters and other testing devises.</li><li>
Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.</li><li>
Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.</li><li>
Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment including cleaning, lubricating and adjusting parts to be certain that the machinery and equipment continue to run smoothly.
</li><li>Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.</li><li>
Reassemble machinery and equipment after completion of inspections, testing and/or repairs.</li><li>
Record and maintain records of repairs and maintenance performed.</li></ul><p><b>
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:</b></p><ul><li>
Holds oneself accountable for doing whatever is needed to meet the commitments made around project outcomes.</li><li>
Ability to work well under pressure, to adhere to deadlines and the ability to be flexible.</li><li>
Thorough operational knowledge and skills of specific equipment to be operated, including inspection equipment.</li><li>
Strong mechanical aptitude.</li><li>
Ability to use hand and power tools including hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, precision measuring instruments, electrical and electronic testing devices.</li><li>
Ability to perform skilled work in a variety of building trades.</li><li>
Must be able to interpret and work from sketches, blue-prints or drawings.</li><li>
Must be knowledgeable of occupational hazards and OSHA regulations in the machining industry.</li><li>
Experience in operating a forklift, crane and overhead hoist.</li></ul><p><b>
JOB EXPERIENCE</b></p><ul><li>
Technical School or Certification in Industrial Maintenance</li><li>
5-10 years of combined experience in mechanics and repairer trades, precision production trades</li><li>
Production environment experience</li></ul><p><b>

According to the New York Pay Transparency law, pay range for this job is $23.00 - $37.00 / hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.</p><p>
