To assure in-process visual and dimensional quality of all wax components.

<b>PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:</b><br>
1. Visual Inspection.
<br><b>Objective:</b> to identify surface defects and flaws in wax components and tools.

Visually inspects wax patterns prior to cleaning, soluble cores, developmental and prototype assemblies, and tools for surface defects and flaws.
<br>Uses a variety of hand tools to assist in visual inspect.

2. Dimensional Measurement.
<br><br>
<b>Objective:</b> to assure dimensional integrity.
<br><br>
<b>Typical Activities:</b><br>
Inspects components using height gauges, micrometers, calipers, ultrasound and other dimensional measuring devices.
<br>Performs Statistical Process Control calculations using pre-established formulas to determine if dimensions are within acceptable ranges or if process is in control.
<br><br>
3. Engineering Support.
<br><br>
<b>Objective:</b> to work with and prepare reports for use by engineers in addressing product quality issues.
<br><br>
<b>Typical Activities:</b><br>
Works with engineers to establish and test inspection techniques.
<br>Works with engineers to identify and resolve problems of surface and dimensional defects.
<br>Enters dimensional data into computer for engineering purposes.
<br>Prepares reports and information on dimensional issues as needed.

4. Completes a variety of logs and records.
<br><br>
5. May train less skilled personnel as assigned.

<b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b><br>
Working knowledge of dimensional tools and basic dimensional inspection techniques as demonstrated by one year of competently performing Wax Molding, or Assembly Inspector.OR An equivalent combination of classroom training and work experience.
<br>Ability to perform wax dimensional inspection applying proper techniques.
<br>Ability to read precision hand tools.
<br>Familiarity with all common dimensional inspection tools including go/no gauges, micrometers, height gauges, calipers and pi tapes is preferred.
<br>Familiarity with surface plate inspection setups.
<br>Ability to read, interpret, and follow specifications on Tech Cards, blueprints, and drawings.
<br>Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
<br>23/30 correctable vision, and satisfactory passage of depth perception and color visions tests.
<br>Ability to lift and/or maneuver objects weighing thirty to sixty pounds and occasionally up to seventy pounds.
<br>Ability to work in difficult working conditions which may include operating in physically awkward positions for extended periods of time, exposure to noise, dust, chemicals and other elements.

The Quality Engineer is responsible for providing quality assurance and control support to customers, suppliers, and internal production; ensuring products, components, parts, and material conform to customer, supplier, and regulatory requirements. <br>Inspect parts for dimensional compliance using basic measuring equipment including, tape measures, calipers, micrometers, height gages, dial indicators, "snap gauges", profilometers, etc.
<br>Drawing / Blueprint reading and basic GD&T
<br>Document and report nonconformances or out-of-tolerance conditions on inspection documents and work orders. Create Nonconformance Material Reports (NCMR)
<br>Oracle – use and transactions
<br>Complete Quality reports
<br>Monitor quality control activities and processes at suppliers. Review and analyze corrective action and non-conformance data to eliminate non-conformances. May assist with suppliers in dock to stock programs to reduce/eliminate the need for incoming inspection activities.
<br>Develop reports and metrics on various aspects of quality assurance function including cost of scrap and rework operations, accuracy of inspection, quality of outgoing product, etc. Monitor nonconforming parts through RMA and the rework process including timely disposition and closure.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in engineering related field
<br>2+ related experience in a manufacturing environment; forging and/or machining industry preferred

In accordance with PCC procedures, local, state, and federal regulations, to effectively and efficiently treat all waste water to ensure that prohibited materials do not enter the sewer system.
<br><br>
<b>PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:</b><br>
1.LSA Materials Receiving, Preliminary Inspection and In-Process Storage.
<br><br>
<b>Objective:</b> receive and/or collect drummed LSA materials from Investing, Effluent Filtration, Cleaning departments and determine if acceptable for processing.
<br><br>
<b>2.Correcting/Diagnosing System Failures:</b><br>
<b>Objective:</b> to ensure the safe and effective processing of waste water through the constant monitoring of electrical, chemical, and mechanical processes.
<br><br>
<b>Essential Job Functions:</b><br>
A. Perform basic lab tests accurately to determine chemical imbalances and correct the process by adding certain chemicals to restore balance.
<br><br>
B. Redirect the flow of water to storage tanks or reprocessing by either a manual process through shut-off valves or computer input.
<br><br>
C. Communicate effectively with supervision in customer departments, and with maintenance, in the event a shutdown of all processes that use water is required, or if a HazMat Response Team is needed.
<br><br>
D. Collect by transporting or receive by delivery, drummed LSA materials.
<br><br>
E. Inspect for drum integrity, labeling and loose RAD material per acceptance criteria.
<br><br>
F. Accept or reject the drums. Accepted drums are moved to in-process storage, rejected drums are transported back to department of origin.

<b>3.Operation of the Effluent Filtration Process:</b><br>
<b>Objective:</b> to process waste waters through the filtration process.
<br><br>

A. Clean or change microfiltration modules, filter presses, process tanks, turbidity probes, and cartridge filters of radioactive sludge through either a chemical or manual process. Clean and process tanks with air hammer chip gun.
<br><br>
B. Adjust rate of water flow through the system through the use of computer monitoring or manually.
<br><br>
C. Place sludge from the filtration process into hoppers. Take samples, dispose in dropbox for Hillsboro Landfill.

D. Bleach sumps in Investing and Cleaning departments.

<b>4.Maintain Supplies and Equipment:</b><br>
<b>Objective:</b> to maintain equipment in good working order and to maintain a safe, clean work environment.
