PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:</p><p>
1- Grinding.</p><p>
Objective: to review inspection paperwork, and grind and blend defect areas on castings; to blend welds to blueprint tolerances.</p><p>
Typical Activities:</p><ul><li>
Reviews x-ray/inspection paperwork, sketches and blueprints to determine grinding requirements.</li><li>
Removes surface and blind cavity defects from castings using rotary files, burrs, abrasives or belts to prepare castings for repair.</li><li>
Blends and reworks repaired areas to specified tolerances; may use hand-held sandblaster.</li></ul><p></p><p><br>
2- Inspection.</p><p>
Objective: to assure compliance with customer specifications.</p><p>
Typical Activities:</p><ul><li>
Verifies dimensional compliance using micrometers, calipers, ultrasonic testing and similar types of dimensional inspection devices.</li><li>
Performs fluorescent penetrant inspection tests on parts to verify removal of surface and subsurface defects; applies penetrant, lets dry, washes off and inspects for defects.</li><li>
Completes logs and records.</li><li>
Provides work direction and training to junior-level grinders as assigned.</li></ul><p></p><p><br>
3- Safety.</p><p>
Objective: to take responsibility for and demonstrate safe work practices.</p><p>

Position Summary:</b></p><p>
Level One- is an entry level assembly mechanic position requiring significant supervision to perform a variety of entry level assembly tasks. Operations Area Manager &ndash; Front End</b></p><p>
PURPOSE:</p><p>
Manage the Front-End Manufacturing activities for the Worcester MA facility. Assure that production variable cost and productivity goals are met or exceeded. Improve on-time delivery to customers to targeted level. Adhere to process control/quality criteria so as to reduce rework and scrap. Manage fixed and variable budgets. Full P&amp;L Responsibility for the Isothermal Forge Shop and mult prep.</p><p>
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p><ul><li>
Coordinate and manage a full complement of production and production support activities.</li><li>
Interface and work with key staff positions: Materials Management, Product Engineering, Quality, Accounting, HR, IT, etc.</li><li>
Drive cost reduction and continuous improvement in the attainment of corporate goals.</li><li>
Responsible for cost control and budget attainment.</li><li>
Meet required customer shipping schedules.</li><li>
Establish working effective relationship with Union leadership.</li><li>
Establish and execute capital planning efforts supporting manufacturing</li></ul><p></p><p><br>
REQUIREMENTS:</p><ul><li>
MBA, with B.S./B.A.(engineering discipline preferred) and/or extensive related work experience.</li><li>
Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience, preferably with capital intense metal forming/manufacturing operations</li><li>
At least 5 years at managerial responsibility with P/L responsibility</li></ul><p></p><p><br>
SPECIAL SKILLS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p><ul><li>
Results driven and action oriented; analytical skills are key</li><li>
Computer skills: Planning systems understanding/experience</li><li>
Familiarity with metal manufacturing processes.</li><li>
Theoretical and practical understanding of the Theory of Constraints.</li><li>
Ability to see the &ldquo;big picture.&rdquo;</li><li>
Stressful work environment.</li><li>

</div></div><div>For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $100000 to $140000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company&rsquo;s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 3X the Company&rsquo;s bonus multiple, based on the Company&rsquo;s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company&rsquo;s 401(k) plan.
