 Position Summary
 
 
 
 The Purchasing Supervisor shall direct and oversee all procurement activities, lead a team of Buyers developing and maintaining a supply base of raw materials, hardware and outside services. The Purchasing Supervisor shall maintain written controlled procurement procedures, oversee buying practices, establish LTA&rsquo;s, establish metrics to measure and improve performance and contribute to Continuous Improvement (CI) activities.
 
 
 
 Primary Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Provides Leadership and guidance to Procurement staff of Buyers
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare and maintain written procedures for all Procurement related activities
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in Customer audits as well as Industry required audits
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and maintain strong supply base
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong people skills, computer skills and thorough understanding of MRP systems
 </li>
 <li>
 Establish metrics to measure and improve department performance including supplier performance, shortages, price changes, supplier quality, etc.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain accurate MRP inputs, including supplier, lead time, price, etc.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support Continuous Improvement Activities
 </li>
 <li>
 Work directly with Corporate Procurement to establish best practice for all divisions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Establish department goals to reduce costs of direct and indirect materials including processing.
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Minimum Education Or Experience
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Effective written and verbal communication skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Three to five years of supply chain or procurement experience
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to understand and interpret engineering documents
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiar with concepts of Manufacturing concepts, min/max inventory levels, safety stock, accounting and other professional concepts that affect purchasing decisions
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong leadership capabilities
 </li>
 <li>
 BA/BS in a business related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
 </li>
 <li>
 APICs or NAPA certification preferred
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 For informational purposes only the range of pay for this role is $97,800.00 to $115,000.00US Dollar (USD)Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only this role is eligible to participate in the Companys Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Companys bonus multiple based on the Companys performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees and their families are eligible to participate in the company\'s medical dental vision and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Companys 401k plan.120
