The Minnesota Twins and Premier Sport Psychology are seeking a Mental Performance Intern to join our Fort Myers Player Development hub. This is a hands-on, immersive internship where you&rsquo;ll learn from experienced consultants, contribute to real player development work, and build the skills needed for a future in applied sport psychology. 
If you&rsquo;re pursuing your master&rsquo;s in sport psychology and want an internship that blends learning, applied experience, and daily involvement in a professional baseball environment, this is the role. 
What You&rsquo;ll Do

Support Daily Mental Performance Programming
<ul>
<li>Assist with delivering mental performance sessions for players and staff.</li>
<li>Ensure workshops, team sessions, and individual sessions are organized, prepared, and aligned with daily goals.</li>
<li>Provide on-field and in-facility support to drive consistency and connection across the day.</li>
</ul>
Help Facilitate Player Development Workshops
<ul>
<li>Prepare slides, handouts, and session materials with the Mental Performance staff.</li>
<li>Co-facilitate workshops under direct supervision to build confidence and presentation skills.</li>
<li>Capture feedback, participation metrics, and key takeaways from sessions.</li>
</ul>
Build Applied Experience Through Observation &amp; Coaching
<ul>
<li>Observe 1-on-1 sessions, coach consultations, and team interactions.</li>
<li>Take notes, reflect on intervention strategies, and participate in post-session debrief discussions.</li>
<li>After observing and receiving guidance, provide individual mental performance sessions aligned with organizational frameworks.</li>
</ul>
Contribute to Program &amp; Tool Development
<ul>
<li>Brainstorm and develop tools, exercises, and new content based on player needs.</li>
<li>Help adapt performance psychology models for developmental athletes across levels.</li>
<li>Bring fresh thinking and creativity to enhance the mental performance curriculum.</li>
</ul>
Keep Operations Running Smoothly
<ul>
<li>Support scheduling, tracking, data entry, and day-to-day logistics of programming.</li>
<li>Maintain organized materials, tools, and documentation for players and staff.</li>
<li>Ensure sessions and workshops run efficiently and professionally.</li>
</ul>
Learn, Grow, and Be Mentored
<ul>
<li>Attend weekly supervision meetings with Premier Mental Performance staff.</li>
<li>Complete readings, case studies, and professional development assignments.</li>
<li>Set personal learning goals and track your growth throughout the internship.</li> 
</ul>
Work On-Site Full Season (No Travel Required) 

This role is based full-time at the Fort Myers complex, supporting Spring Training, extended spring, rehab groups, GCL/FCL players, and short-season athletes. There is no travel associated with this position.

What You Bring
<ul>
<li>Master&rsquo;s degree in sport psychology preferred</li>
<li>In-progress master&rsquo;s degree in sport psychology required</li>
<li>Curious, coachable, and energized by working in a high-performance environment</li>
<li>Strong communication skills and interest in applied sport/performance psychology</li>
<li>Ability to adapt, work collaboratively, and bring a team-first mindset</li> 
</ul>
