 3ds Max Character Modeling &amp; Animation Instructor (Contract/Freelance)
 
 
 We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 3ds Max Instructor to provide specialized training in Character Modeling, Character Animation, and NURBS Curve techniques. This contract or freelance position is ideal for a professional with a strong portfolio and a passion for teaching industry-standard workflows.
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 * Develop and deliver comprehensive, engaging training sessions in Autodesk 3ds Max.
 
 * Focus the curriculum on low-to-high polygon character modeling techniques, including retopology, UV mapping, and texture preparation.
 
 * Provide in-depth instruction on character rigging (Biped, CAT, or custom rigs) and character animation principles, covering keyframing, motion paths, and non-linear animation workflows.
 
 * Dedicate a specific portion of the training to the effective use of NURBS (Non-Uniform Rational B-Splines) Curves for precise geometry creation, surfacing, and object manipulation within 3ds Max.
 
 * Create practical, project-based assignments that reinforce learning and simulate real-world production scenarios.
 
 * Offer constructive feedback and individualized support to students to ensure mastery of the software and techniques.
 
 
 Required Qualifications
 
 * Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk 3ds Max.
 
 * Proven professional experience in Character Modeling and Character Animation for games, film, or visual effects.
 
 * Deep understanding and practical application of NURBS curve functionality within a 3D modeling pipeline.
 
 * Prior experience as a technical instructor, educator, or mentor is highly preferred.
 
 * Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
 
 * A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality character models and animation reels.
 
 Desired (Bonus) Skills
 
 * Familiarity with other complementary software (e.g., ZBrush, Substance Painter).
 
 * Experience with scripting or tool development within 3ds Max (MAXScript).
 
 * Ability to teach remotely via video conferencing tools.
