POSITION SUMMARY
 
The Medication Technician provides medication services and direct resident care, assist in maintaining a positive physical and psychosocial environment for residents. The Medication Technician assists residents with activities of daily living, housekeeping, laundry, and other daily chores.:
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
1. Responsible for the daily operation of the medication room and medication services as directed by the Health Services Director (HSD) and in accordance with physician orders, state regulations and the nurse practice act.
 2. Processes physician medication and treatment orders in accordance with state regulations and the nurse practice act.
 3. Administers and assists with the self-administration of routine and non-routine medications in accordance with physician orders, state regulations, and the nurse practice act.
 4. Completes simple treatments and monitors residents as directed by the HSD in accordance with physician orders, state regulations and the nurse practice act.
 5. Maintains accurate records of medication and treatment services provided or omitted, including controlled substances, in each resident’s clinical record.
 6. Coordination with pharmacies for medication orders and refills.
 7. Reports all medication errors per policy.
 8. Reports and records changes in resident condition, incidents and accidents to HSD, physician and family member as indicated under the direction of the HSD. Completes all incident forms.
 9. Routinely communicates with physicians, pharmacies, outside services, residents and families regarding medication and care services.
 10. Provides direct resident care while promoting the resident’s dignity, independence and choice, regularly observes residents’ physical and mental conditions and reports changes to the HSD, Expressions Director, or Executive Director.
 11. Assists with or provides care services as directed by the resident’s cooperative service plan.
 12. Greets residents, visitors, and staff courteously, and in a manner that respects dignity, confidentiality standards, and promotes individual rights.
 13. Follows and supports community fire safety and infection control practices and promptly reports any unsafe conditions or equipment to immediate supervisor.
 14. Serves meals in the dining room, assisting residents at mealtime, provides resident tray delivery, and assists with dining room and kitchen clean up and maintenance.
 15. Assists in lifting, moving and transporting residents using proper body mechanics or assistive devices as directed by the resident’s cooperative service plan.
 16. Assists with tours, move-ins, move-outs, and transfers and coordinates personal care services with coworkers assisting with lifting and responds to assistance pages promptly.
 17. Performs First Aid and initiates emergency response procedures per policy and state regulations.
 18. Properly stores medications and equipment and keeps the medication room clean and orderly.
 19. Removes outdated or discontinued medications to return to the pharmacy or disposal per policy.
 20. Attends and participates in training, in-services, and staff meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

In this job, every day you will..
 
1. Provide assistance in delivering preventive maintenance for the building, equipment, and grounds.
 
2. Perform repairs under the supervision of the Maintenance Director and within area of expertise including, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting and in accordance to accepted codes.
 
3. Monitors and record building and water temperatures and adjusts to meet regulations and safety codes.
 
4. Ensure strict adherence to community fire safety and hazardous chemical procedures, promptly address all unsafe conditions or equipment problems.
 
5. Perform floor care on an ongoing basis, including carpeting in resident apartments and common areas of the community.
 
6. Remove trash gathered by housekeepers and caregivers on a daily basis.
 
7. Maintain grounds in a professional, well-groomed manner by performing grounds maintenance on a regular basis or working with a landscape company to maintain grounds in an appropriate manner.
 
Education Experience you need to qualify: 
You will need a Vocational or Trade School degree in general maintenance or three years of experience in carpentry, electrical or painting work. Experience with budgets helpful.

The Dining Services Manager oversees the dining services department of an assisted living, independent living, and/or memory care community and ensures residents are provided with a nourishing and well-balanced diet that meet the residents’ nutritional needs and dietary preferences.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

<li>Oversees the daily operations of the dining services department including budget, menu, food preparation, labor management, food safety and sanitation, and leadership of dining services team.</li>
<li>Modifies provided menus in alignment with regulations taking into consideration resident allergies, intolerances, dietary needs, and resident’s preferences. Ensures that food meets the nutritional specifications as outlined by state and local guidelines.</li>
<li>Provides leadership to dining services team members including the recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, annual performance reviews, and daily oversight.</li>
<li>Manages the dining services schedule including creating a monthly schedule, daily assignments, and finding coverage for time off requests and call offs. May be required to be on-call after hours and on weekends to support dining services team members and cover staffing.</li>
<li>Manages the food and supply ordering process including inventory management and placing and receiving orders. Ensures the department has sufficient food and supplies at all times, including an emergency reserve.</li>
<li>Inspects the food service areas and kitchen to ensure they are clean and safe. Maintains compliance with Department of Health food safety and sanitation regulations, including food storage and rotation, food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and equipment safety. Takes prompt actions to address any unsafe conditions and practices or equipment issues.</li>
<li>Ensures all team members follow protocols and policies for fire safety, infection control, and hazardous chemicals and swiftly addresses concerns.</li>
<li>Trains dining services team members on company policies, health department standards, and other regulatory requirements. Facilitates department team meetings and huddles to communicate changes and ensure team members’ understanding of expectations.</li>
<li>Monitors food quality, presentation, and service delivery to ensures it meets quality standards. Collects feedback regarding dining experience from residents, visitors, and staff.</li>
<li>Acts as the lead cook during assigned meals. Prepares, cooks, and serves food in accordance with the menu and food and nutrition standards.</li>
<li>Manages the department budget including spend downs, expense reporting, managing food and supply cost and labor management to PPD.</li>
<li>Implements dietary changes as directed thru PCP Diet Orders. Ensures all dining services team members are aware of diet changes and that all dietary entries in the resident records are accurate and timely.</li>
<li>Participates in leadership team by actively contributing in building and company-wide initiatives and attending leadership team meetings such as stand up, and other meetings as required.</li>
<li>Keeps Executive Director and department heads up to date on changes in the dining services department.</li>
<li>Assists in planning and preparing food services for special meals, events, and parties as needed.</li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>

The Dietary Aide - Server assists with food preparation, food service, and general duties of the dietary department.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
1.Assists in the preparation of food and is responsible for serving meals, snacks, and beverages using portion control and applicable sanitation practices.

6.Partners with dietary staff to ensure equipment is working properly and at the appropriate temperature. Records temperature of equipment throughout shift as needed. Reports faulty equipment immediately.
 
7.Follows facility fire safety, infection control, and hazardous chemical practices and promptly reports any unsafe conditions.
 
8.Greets residents, visitors, and staff courteously and in a manner that respects dignity, meets confidentiality standards, and promotes resident and staff rights.
 
9.Resets the dining room for the next meal and ensures supplies are available for upcoming meals.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 11:30AM-6:30PM FOR A SHORT TERM ASSIGNMENT AND THEN MOVE TO AN ON-CALL POSTION
 
$18.88-$22.63 PER HOUR DOE WITH ROOM FOR ADVANCEMENT!

POSITION SUMMARY
 
The Cook prepares food in accordance with menus, diet specifications, resident preference, and sanitary practices under the supervision of the Food and Nutrition Services Manager or Dining Services Manager.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
1.Prepares, cooks, and serves food in accordance with the menu and food and nutrition standards, including presentation, taste, and texture. Samples food for quality assurance prior to service.
 
2.Ensures foods are cooked and held at the appropriate temperatures. Records food temperatures throughout the cooking and holding process.
 
3.Partners with supervisor to review menus and record necessary substitutions.
 
4.Ensures that food supplies are available and prepared as needed for upcoming meals. Notifies supervisor of needed supplies.
 
5.Maintains a clean and safe work area, cleaning spills and assisting in daily or scheduled cleaning.
 
6.Ensures proper storage, rotation, preparation, and labeling of food in accordance with Federal, State, and local guidelines and Prestige policy. Discards outdated food.
 
7.Partners with dietary staff to ensure equipment is working properly and at the appropriate temperature. Records temperature of equipment throughout shift as needed. Reports faulty equipment immediately.
 
8.Follows facility fire safety, infection control, and hazardous chemical practices and promptly reports any unsafe conditions.
 
9.Assists in planning and preparing food services for special meals, events, and parties as needed.
 
10.Assists in storing incoming food and supplies as assigned.
 
11.Attends and participates in training, in-services, and staff meetings.
 
12.Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
 
A minimum of one year experience cooking in a restaurant or the dietary department of a hospital or similar environment. General kitchen/dietary experience may be considered in lieu of direct cooking experience. Must have required State certification or food service license.
 
EDUCATION
 
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience.
