Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and friendly Front Desk Receptionist to join our busy podiatry practice. This vital role involves providing exceptional patient service, managing appointment scheduling, and ensuring smooth office operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be the first point of contact in a thriving healthcare setting dedicated to foot and ankle care.Duties<ul><li>Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and efficient check-in process</li><li>Manage patient appointments using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth, coordinating schedules for optimal flow</li><li>Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes</li><li>Collect and process payments, including medical billing and collections, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards</li><li>Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages</li><li>Maintain accurate medical records, update patient information, and review documentation for completeness and accuracy</li><li>Assist with intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and updating care plans in the EMR system</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Prior experience working in a medical office or clinical environment, preferably in podiatry or dental clinics</li><li>Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems.</li><li>Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 coding (International Classification of Diseases), and Medicare procedures</li><li>Experience with medical billing, insurance verification, and collection processes</li><li>Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with health information management software is a plus</li><li>Proven ability to handle clerical tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10-key typing), and managing multi-line phone systems with professionalism</li></ul>Join our team to make a meaningful difference in patients&rsquo; lives by providing top-tier administrative support in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
