About usPreston School District #201 is currently seeking a full time Custodian at the high school This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly school environment, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, gyms, and locker rooms.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods</li><li>Ability to operate custodial equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, vacuums, buffers)</li><li>Ability to follow safety procedures and handle cleaning chemicals properly</li><li>Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team</li><li>Ability to interact professionally with students, staff, and the public</li></ul>PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Clean and sanitize classrooms, hallways, offices, restrooms, gyms, and locker rooms</li><li>Perform daily cleaning of gym floors, bleachers, weight rooms, and athletic areas</li><li>Maintain locker rooms including disinfecting showers, restrooms, changing areas, and athletic equipment storage spaces</li><li>Empty trash and recycling throughout the assigned area</li><li>Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors; operate floor-care equipment as needed</li><li>Restock soap, paper products, and other supplies in restrooms and locker rooms</li><li>Report safety hazards, maintenance needs, or vandalism to the Head Custodian</li><li>Perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal around entrances and sidewalks</li><li>Follow all district safety policies</li><li>Other duties as assigned by supervisor</li></ul>To find out more about the Preston School District, please visit our website at www.psd201.org.
