We are seeking a <b>Clinical </b><b>Laboratory</b><b> Scientist, </b>also referred to as a Medical Technologist (Med Tech) at Riverview Regional Medical Center a member of Prime Healthcare. The Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. They play an important role in the diagnostic process, contributing significantly to patient care and treatment.</p><p></p><p><i><br>
** If you have experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) you are encouraged to apply for this position.</i></p><p></p><div><b><br>
Shift&rsquo;s Available: </b>10 hour shifts
</div><div><b>Employment Type:</b> Full Time</div><div><b>
Hours: </b>6:00am to 4:30pm, every other weekend and holiday. Every third month the shift is 8am-630pm, every other weekend and holiday.</div><div><b>

Responsibilities:
<div><b><i>
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):</i></b></div><ul><li>
perform laboratory tests on blood, tissues, and other bodily fluids to aid in the diagnosis of diseases and conditions, this may include routine tests as well as specialized tests</li><li>
interpret lab test results and identify any abnormalities, ensure the accuracy and reliability of these results to assist doctors in making informed decisions about patient care</li><li>
implement and monitor quality control procedures to maintain high standards in laboratory testing, you may also calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment</li><li>
keep accurate and detailed records of all laboratory tests performed and their results, input data into our laboratory information systems</li><li>
ensure all laboratory operations comply with hospital policies, governmental regulations, and accreditation requirements</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<div><b>
Education and Work Experience</b></div><ul><li>
ASCP certification, or equivalent required</li><li>
One year hospital laboratory work experience preferred, but not required.</li><li>
bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological science, or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution, or other educational requirements as stated in CLIA (42 CFR 493.1489)</li><li>
Current and valid state license if the laboratory is located in a state where required</li></ul><div>
