Procurement Supervisor We are seeking an experienced Procurement Supervisor to support procurement strategy, manage vendor relationships, and oversee day-to-day purchasing operations within the power generation and cooling systems sector.Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement Strategy &amp; Planning<ul><li>Assist the Procurement Manager in developing and executing effective procurement strategies.</li><li>Forecast price and market trends to identify shifts in buyer&ndash;supplier dynamics.</li><li>Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand to support proactive procurement planning.</li><li>Determine appropriate quantity and timing of deliveries.</li><li>Perform cost analysis, scenario analysis, and benchmarking to support decision-making.</li><li>Analyze market and delivery trends to develop procurement technologies and processes aligned with industry changes.</li><li>Implement procurement strategies to maintain security of supply and ensure optimum value for money.</li><li>Support the Procurement Manager in setting policies and guidelines to deliver a commercial, efficient, and cost-effective procurement process.</li></ul>Operational Procurement &amp; Contracting<ul><li>Perform all procurement and contracting activities, including supplier pre-qualification, tender management, negotiations, and preparation of contracts.</li><li>Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with vendors on optimal terms and conditions.</li><li>Seek, evaluate, and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.</li><li>Ensure clear documentation of requirements by partnering closely with internal stakeholders.</li><li>Develop and maintain a supplier database and establish annual purchasing contracts for both low-value and high-value items.</li></ul>Vendor Management &amp; Stakeholder Engagement<ul><li>Maintain close working relationships with key business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to enhance business performance.</li><li>Conduct regular business review meetings with stakeholders to assess risks, review strategies, and identify cost-reduction and improvement opportunities.</li><li>Ensure all procurement dealings uphold the principles of value for money, transparency, fairness, efficiency, and accountability.</li></ul>Risk Management &amp; Continuous Improvement<ul><li>Assess, manage, and mitigate procurement-related risks.</li><li>Implement changes and develop new processes to improve the procurement of goods and services.</li><li>Advise the Procurement Manager on potential improvements to the procurement process.</li></ul>Team Leadership &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Train, guide, and supervise the work of procurement staff and store team members.</li><li>Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve overall procurement effectiveness.</li><li>Provide periodic reports to the Procurement Manager on purchasing activities, controls, and processes.</li></ul>General<ul><li>Perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned from time to time based on business requirements.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>5+ years procurement experience in Qatar, including 2 years in a supervisory role.</li><li>Strong knowledge of generators, power systems, and cooling solutions (mandatory).</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering preferred; Supply Chain/Business acceptable.</li><li>Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.</li><li>Fluent in English; Arabic preferred.</li><li>Valid Qatar Driving License.</li><li>CAD knowledge is a plus.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: QAR8,000.00 per monthEducation:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Procurement in Qatar: 5 years (Preferred)</li><li>Supervisor Role: 2 years (Preferred)</li><li>generators, power systems, and cooling solutions.: 3 years (Preferred)</li></ul>
