Role Description: The Material Specifications &amp; Procurement Intern will support a critical project to review and update material specifications, ensuring accuracy and consistency across design and procurement functions. This role provides a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of engineering and business, contributing to improved design assurance, procurement flexibility, and cost competitiveness.</div><div></div><div>
Additional housing stipend from $1,500 to $3,000 depending on work and candidate's location.</div><div></div><div>
Key Projects &amp; Responsibilities:</div><ul><li>
Review and update current material specifications to ensure they are accurate, consistent, and user-friendly for procurement teams.</li><li>
Standardize and simplify documentation for effective supplier engagement.</li><li>
Identify opportunities for cost competitiveness, leaner solutions, and standardization through Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE).</li><li>
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, and other stakeholders, to align on requirements.</li></ul><div></div><div>
Skills &amp; Qualifications:</div><ul><li>
Strong technical writing and documentation skills.</li><li>
Excellent attention to detail.</li><li>
Analytical skills to review existing documentation and identify gaps or opportunities.</li><li>
Ability to collaborate effectively across different teams.</li><li>
Basic knowledge of procurement principles and how specifications impact sourcing.</li><li>
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and SharePoint.</li><li>
Enrolled in a relevant Bachelor's program at an accredited college/university.</li></ul><div></div><div>

About the Role</div><div>
When you are a Maintenance Mechanic at Primient in our Dayton, Ohio Plant, you will be responsible for the safe operation, mechanical maintenance, and troubleshooting of a system that produces distinctive, high-quality ingredients and solutions to the food, beverage, and other industries.</div><div></div><div>
Compensation for our Maintenance Mechanic role is based on a Skill Block pay-for-knowledge system with starting pay @ $35.09 per hour increasing to $37.70 per hour following successful completion of a skills evaluation. Additionally, we provide an excellent benefits package including health insurance and a 401K savings plan.</div><div></div><div>
Key responsibilities: <i>D-Shift Maintenance Mechanic</i></div><ul><li><div>
Perform all duties following Primient&rsquo;s safety procedures.</div></li><li><div>
Install machinery and equipment using equipment and tools such as hoists, lifting equipment, hand tools, and power tools. Dismantles machines, moves machinery, and equipment using the above-mentioned items.</div></li><li><div>
Precision alignment of machines and equipment using equipment and tools such as hoists, jacks, hand tools, scales, rules, micrometers, precision levels, plumb bobs, dial indicators and laser alignment tools.</div></li><li><div>
Repair, perform preventative maintenance and inspection on industrial equipment such as pumps, gear boxes, fans, conveyors, and packaging equipment.</div></li><li><div>
Perform building and grounds maintenance.</div></li><li><div>
Fabricate, install, maintain, and repair utility, process and sanitary piping and plumbing systems. Uses hand and power tools and equipment to cut, solder, braze, weld, bend and thread materials used to work, and install piping and plumbing systems.</div></li><li><div>
Perform lubrication activities on in</div></li><li><div>
Industrial equipment such as oil and filter change, oil sampling.</div></li><li><div>
Work with materials necessary to fabricate, install, erect and repair metal parts and equipment.</div></li><li><div>
Use electric and gas welding equipment to weld, braze, heat, form, cut, and fuse items associated with this craft.</div></li><li><div>
Operate forklift, boom lift, and industrial moving equipment needed to perform duties.</div></li><li><div>
Keep tools, equipment, and work area clean and orderly.</div></li><li><div>
This is a 365/24/7 Operating Plant &ndash; requiring weekends and holidays.</div></li></ul><div>
D-Shift</div><ul><li>
D-Shift works a rotating schedule 2 days 6 am-2 pm, 1 day 2 pm-10 pm, 4 days 10 pm-6 am, 2 days off, 1 day 6 am-2 pm, 4 days 2 pm-10 pm, 1 day 10 pm-6 am, 2 days off, 4 days 6 am-2 pm, 2 days 2 pm-10 pm, 4 days off (Repeating every 28 days)</li></ul><div></div><div>
About You</div><ul><li>
Minimum of a high school diploma or the equivalent</li><li>
3+ years of maintenance experience preferred at chemical industry and/or industrial manufacturing.</li><li>
Experience with installation and alignment of pumps, motors, gearboxes.</li><li>
Experience rebuilding industrial pumps, compressors, gearboxes, centrifuges.</li><li>
Experience working on lubrication and filtration systems.</li><li>
Experience prefabbing threaded pipe and welded pipe.</li><li>
Passionate about safety not only for yourself, but for your co-workers as well.</li></ul><div>
