<div>We are seeking a microbiological laboratory technician to join our team-oriented environment of food professionals. This individual will be responsible for various laboratory duties, including sample processing, media preparation, collection, data entry, and more.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>Process incoming samples</li><li>Accurately record detailed data</li><li>Perform Quality Assurance (QA) checks of the lab</li><li>Perform facility and field sampling of product &amp; water</li><li>Use of lab equipment (e.g. scales, autoclaves)</li><li>Clean glassware, laboratory areas, and utensils</li><li>Media preparation</li><li>Perform pipetting and serial dilutions</li><li>Retrieve samples from various locations, as needed</li><li>All other duties assigned by management</li></ul> 
Requirements: 
 
<ul><li>Laboratory skills, including aseptic technique a plus, but not required</li><li>Ability to multi-task &amp; adapt to a changing fast-paced environment required</li><li>Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office</li><li>Excellent verbal and written skills</li><li>Clean DMV record</li><li>Flexible schedule with availability to work weekends, evenings, and overtime</li><li>Strong math skills</li><li>Ability to lift 35 lbs.</li><li>Self-motivated, with excellent work ethic</li><li>Bilingual (Spanish) a plus</li><li>Science background a plus</li><li>Professional skills a plus</li></ul> 
Starting Hourly rate at $16-$18/hr.</div>
