The Laboratory Assistant plays a vital support role in the clinical laboratory by handling and processing specimens, loading samples onto instruments, and assisting with general laboratory workflow. This role works under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist and contributes to maintaining accurate and timely testing procedures.</div><h1 class="jobSectionHeader">
RESPONSIBILITIES</h1><div>
Under the supervision and direction of a <i>Licensed Clinical Laboratory </i><i>Scientist</i>, the Laboratory Assistant may perform the following duties:</div><ul><li>
Properly route, handle, and process a variety of medical specimens in accordance with laboratory protocols</li><li>
Batch and prepare samples prior to instrument loading or handoff to technical staff</li><li>
Load patient samples and quality controls onto automated laboratory instruments</li><li>
Assist in notifying clients of critical values per laboratory policy and ensure appropriate documentation</li><li>
Archive specimens in the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and dispose of them according to specimen retention policies</li><li>
Monitor LIS backlogs at least every 30 minutes to identify and escalate delayed priority samples</li><li>
Adhere to all laboratory policies, procedures, safety guidelines, and quality assurance standards</li><li>
Support laboratory staff with miscellaneous tasks as needed to ensure smooth operation</li><li>
May be required to work weekends, holidays, overtime, or split shifts based on operational needs</li><li>
Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management</li></ul><h1 class="jobSectionHeader">
REQUIREMENTS</h1><ul><li>
High school diploma or GED required</li><li>
Associate of Science or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university preferred</li><li>
Minimum of two (2) years&rsquo; experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred</li><li>
Familiarity with basic laboratory procedures</li><li>
Proficient with laboratory computer systems, analyzers, and communication tools</li></ul><h1 class="jobSectionHeader">
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS</h1><ul><li>
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time</li><li>
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform repetitive movements (e.g., pipetting, specimen handling)</li><li>
Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate laboratory instruments and process specimens</li><li>

Laboratory Technician</div><div></div><div><br>
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Laboratory Technician to join our Toxicology Department. In this role, you will be responsible for performing toxicology-specific laboratory testing, maintaining quality control processes, troubleshooting specialized equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, accountability, and a dedication to excellence in toxicology laboratory operations.</div><h1 class="jobSectionHeader">
RESPONSIBILITIES</h1><ul><li>
Conduct clinical toxicology urine testing, including screening and confirmation methods, as well as other testing procedures established within the toxicology department.</li><li>
Perform test procedures on patient specimens in strict adherence to the Section&rsquo;s Standard Operating Procedures to ensure accurate and timely reporting.</li><li>
Analyze, review, and interpret test results to ensure analytical integrity, identifying and resolving any inconsistencies.</li><li>
Perform and document Quality Control procedures to maintain compliance and ensure test accuracy within control limits.</li><li>
Initiate corrective actions for incomplete, inconclusive, or inaccurate testing data.</li><li>
Maintain the operational status of major automated equipment by performing routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting as needed.</li><li>
Assist in evaluating and implementing new procedures and equipment to keep the laboratory aligned with current advancements in toxicology technology.</li><li>
Participate in continuing education, training, and teaching opportunities to enhance technical skills and meet Section Performance Standards.</li><li>
Manage inventory of reagents and laboratory supplies to ensure uninterrupted workflow.</li><li>
Adhere to all safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to toxicology laboratory operations.</li><li>
Perform other related duties as needed within the scope of the position.</li></ul><h1 class="jobSectionHeader">
 REQUIREMENTS</h1><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a science-related field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, or a related discipline)</li><li>

Position Summary</b></p><p>
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will deliver high-quality, patient-centered pain management services across skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), long-term acute care hospitals (LTACs), and clinic locations. This role includes routine patient rounding in post-acute settings, providing provider coverage during PTO/leave, and performing specialized &ldquo;Greenlight&rdquo; visits to ensure accuracy, compliance, and optimization of patient care plans before procedures or medication coordination.</p><p>
The APP will collaborate closely with physicians, clinical staff, facility teams, and administrative teams to ensure timely, compassionate, and compliant delivery of pain management services.</p><p><b>
Compensation &amp; Benefits</b></p><ul><li>
$150,000-$200,000/year or more! (variable compensation plan based on production.)</li><li>

Conduct comprehensive patient rounding at designated SNF and LTAC facilities</li><li>
Perform thorough histories, physical exams, and pain assessments</li><li>
Develop and manage pain treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician</li><li>
Order/interpret diagnostic tests and adjust medications as appropriate</li><li>
Evaluate therapy response and document progress</li><li>
Provide palliative and chronic pain management services as clinically indicated</li></ul><p><b>
Greenlight Visit Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>
Complete pre-procedure or medication authorization readiness visits</li><li>
Ensure charts meet documentation standards for medical necessity</li><li>
Verify compliance with opioid and controlled substance regulations (including PMP checks)</li><li>
Confirm all required imaging, labs, and prior therapy documentation are in place</li><li>
Communicate findings efficiently with providers, authorization teams, and schedulers</li></ul><p><b>
Provider Coverage</b></p><ul><li>
Serve as coverage for scheduled PTO, CME leave, and occasional unplanned provider absences</li><li>
Ability to work across multiple clinic locations as assigned</li><li>
Maintain flexible availability to support business continuity</li></ul><p><b>
Care Coordination &amp; Compliance</b></p><ul><li>
Collaborate with SNF/LTAC interdisciplinary teams to optimize pain plans</li><li>
Communicate proactively with facility medical staff and families as needed</li><li>
Ensure documentation meets CMS, state regulatory, and practice standards</li><li>
Participate in quality assurance, compliance reviews, and risk-reduction protocols</li></ul><p><b>

Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>
Pain management, rounding/geriatrics experience required</li><li>
Master&rsquo;s degree or higher in Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant Studies (PA)</li><li>
Current Texas licensure as NP or PA-C</li><li>
Active DEA registration (or ability to obtain)</li><li>
Board certification (PMHNP, FNP, AGACNP, or PA-C)</li><li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license and ability to travel to multiple locations</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
