Role Description:
The Financial Analyst II is responsible for leading financial analysis efforts that support decision making across the company. This position requires a strong analytical background with the ability to analyze and consolidate financial results for reporting to Senior Management. Should be a self-starter, able to demonstrate sound judgement and versatility in decision-making and problem solving.
Duties:<ul><li>
Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management.</li><li>
Spearhead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.</li><li>
Identify opportunities for financial performance improvement across the organization.</li><li>
Assist management in tracking adherence to the budget with variance analysis and explanations.</li><li>
Develop, update, and maintain individual business unit and consolidated financial models to help facilitate decision-making.</li><li>
Coordinate financial inputs for proposals.</li><li>
Assist with financial review of monthly transactions.</li><li>
Assist with month end, quarter end, and year end close process as needed.</li><li>
Support internal and external audit requests and reporting functions.</li><li>
Work with corporate and subsidiary intercompany transactions.</li><li>
Assist in developing ad hoc planning models/tools to facilitate business decisions.</li><li>
Assist with data gathering to support preparation of invoices.</li><li>
Support creation of materials for various management reviews, proposals, and meetings.</li><li>
Build and monitor KPIs to inspect business health and performance.</li><li>
Build scalable processes and mechanisms to enhance financial visibility, control, and planning effectiveness that supports future growth.</li><li>
Perform annual billable rate analysis for current and future customers.</li></ul><ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.</li><li>
Requires at least five (5) years related experience, preferably in the energy services industry.</li><li>
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, financial statements and reports, accounting ledgers, and computer technology related to accounting systems.</li><li>
Experience with QuickBooks Advanced Online preferred.</li></ul>
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:<ul><li>
Excel skills are a must &mdash; including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and financial model development (Profit &amp; Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement models).</li><li>
Experience with Power Query and Power BI.</li><li>
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.</li><li>
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.</li><li>
Highly motivated, self-directed, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul>
