Production Manager &ndash; Large Format Printing &amp; DigitalPosition SummaryThe Production Manager oversees all day-to-day operations in the Large-Format Printingdepartment and Digital department, ensuring jobs move efficiently from intake to final delivery.This role requires a strong understanding of print production, equipment, substrates, colormanagement, scheduling, and workflow optimization. The Production Manager leads theproduction team, focusing on quality, accuracy, speed, and exceptional customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Leadership &amp; Workflow Management<ul><li>Manage the complete production process for large-format and gital print jobs, from prepress</li></ul>to finishing and installation prep.<ul><li>Schedule daily workloads, assign tasks, and ensure deadlines are consistently met.</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain a balanced production calendar to maximize capacity, reduce bottlenecks, and</li></ul>meet customer turnaround expectations.<ul><li>Oversee quality control at every stage of production.</li></ul>Team Management<ul><li>Supervise, train, and mentor production staff, including operators, finishers, and</li></ul>installers.<ul><li>Ensure staff follow safety protocols, color standards, and equipment best practices.</li></ul><ul><li>Conduct regular team meetings to review goals, address challenges, and reinforce</li></ul>continuous improvement.Equipment &amp; Technology<ul><li>Oversee the operation of Large-Format flatbed printers, Roll-to-Roll printers, CNC</li></ul>routers/cutters, laminators, digital presses, and finishing equipment.<ul><li>Ensure routine maintenance and coordinate service when needed to minimize downtime.</li></ul><ul><li>Identify technology upgrades or process improvements that increase efficiency or output</li></ul>quality.Quality Assurance<ul><li>Enforce accurate proofing procedures, color calibration, and material handling practices.</li></ul><ul><li>Troubleshoot print issues such as banding, color variance, substrate challenges, and</li></ul>machine errors.<ul><li>Ensure all jobs meet company standards for print quality, accuracy, and finish.</li></ul>Inventory &amp; Vendor Coordination<ul><li>Manage inventory of materials, substrates, inks, and supplies.</li></ul><ul><li>Forecast stock needs and work with vendors to ensure timely replenishment.</li></ul><ul><li>Verify material quality and resolve any supplier issues.</li></ul>Project Coordination &amp; Customer Support<ul><li>Collaborate with sales, customer service, and design teams to clarify job specs and ensure</li></ul>production feasibility.<ul><li>Communicate proactively when schedules need adjustment or if technical issues arise.</li></ul><ul><li>Support client-specific standards, brand colors, and unique production requirements.</li></ul>Compliance &amp; Safety<ul><li>Maintain OSHA-compliant safety standards in all production areas.</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure proper handling of inks, chemicals, and machinery.</li></ul><ul><li>Train team on equipment safety, emergency procedures, and clean-workspace protocols</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hourExperience:<ul><li>Large Format : 3 years (Required)</li><li>Commercial Print : 3 years (Required)</li><li>Digital Print : 3 years (Required)</li><li>Print Managment : 3 years (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
