The Classroom and Nutrition Aide supports the Head Start of Fayette County Program by helping with daily meal service and classroom activities for preschool-aged children. This role ensures a safe, healthy, and welcoming mealtime environment, while also reinforcing positive habits, manners, and safety practices. The position also assists with classroom transitions, record-keeping, and other program needs, contributing to the overall success of Head Start&rsquo;s education and nutrition goals.What You&rsquo;ll Do:<ul><li>Coordinate and assist with setup, serving, and cleanup of meals and snacks.</li><li>Eat with children to encourage conversation, positive social skills, and proper use of utensils.</li><li>Reinforce health, safety, and hygiene practices throughout mealtime.</li><li>Maintain accurate logs and records related to food service and sanitation.</li><li>Support staff with arrival and departure routines.</li><li>Attend trainings, workshops, and meetings as required.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned to support classroom and program needs.</li></ul>What You Bring:<ul><li>High School Diploma or willingness to obtain GED within 1 year of employment.</li><li>Experience with food service and/or supervising preschool children preferred.</li><li>Problem-solving skills and sound judgment.</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.</li><li>Patience and strong interpersonal skills.</li><li>Effective oral and written communication skills.</li></ul>What We Offer:<ul><li>Pay: $15.35/hour</li><li>Part-time schedule that makes an impact in the community</li><li>Opportunity to support both nutrition and education in early childhood development</li><li>Training and professional development opportunities</li><li>Supportive team environment within the Head Start program</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $15.35 per hourEducation:<ul><li>High school or equivalent (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
