<div></div><div>In this position, the Repair Technician learns the standard practices, procedures, principles, theory, and technical aspects required to provide support to the Coatings Department for coatings applications, surface preparation, masking, grit blast, fixturing, shot peen and other duties as requested. Conform to all company documentation controlling Coatings, Quality and Corporate initiatives. Can demonstrate the ability to learn the technical and mechanical competence required in the Coatings areas and conduct activities for Coatings production.</div>

<div></div><div><b>Position Responsibilities</b></div>
<ul><li>Perform duties listed in repair technician documentation in compliance with company specifications, procedures, and work instructions.</li>
<li>Ability to follow directions from supervisors.</li>
<li>Perform the procedures required to perform the coatings in a reasonable time frame and show initiative to continue learning all the processes, as well as assist in areas elsewhere in the shop when called upon.</li>
<li>Operate forklifts and overhead cranes.</li>
<li>Comply with and meet all safety standards.</li>
<li>Be a team provider in lean manufacturing / continuous improvement environment.</li>
<li>Provide operational support towards process improvements.</li>
<li>Works well in cross functional teams and with others in a fast paced &amp; dynamic environment.</li>
</ul><div><b>Required Qualifications</b></div>
<ul><li>High School diploma or GED</li>
<li>Must read, write and speak fluent English.</li>
<li>Physical requirements (lifting 35lbs frequently &amp; up to 150 lbs. using hoists, standing, bending, etc.)</li>
<li>Mental requirements (analyzing, interpreting, organizing, problem solving, etc.)</li>
<li>Equipment use (air grinders, belt sanders, drills, positioners, abrasive blasting, forklift, pallet jack, etc.)</li>
<li>Working conditions (indoors/outdoors, noisy environment, dusty, etc.)</li>
<li>Must have good hand to eye coordination.</li>
<li>Must be able to pay attention to detail.</li>
<li>Use basic pneumatic grinding tools, hand tools, and basic metal fabrication machinery.</li>
<li>Use basic measurement tools, micrometers, calipers, etc.</li>
<li>Safely use lifting equipment.</li>
<li>Ability to read, understand and follow instructions verbally and/or written (traveler) in English.</li>
<li>Good communication and interpersonal skills.</li>

<div></div><div><div><b>Position Responsibilities</b></div>
<ul><li>Cleaners will be used to remove grease build-up, corrosion products, etc., as well as prepare parts for the next overhaul step using various cleaning compounds and chemical solutions, spray guns, brushes, etc.</li>
<li>Completes forms associated with work assignments according to established procedures.</li>
<li>Performs abrasive blast activities for highly engineered products including but not limited to cleaning, coating preparation, and surface treatments.</li>
<li>Properly maintains and controls equipment, processes, tools, fixtures, supplies, and safety equipment associated with each specific shop orders.</li>
<li>Daily tasks will include loading and unloading of hardware and fixturing by hand, with a fork truck or other lifting devices/cranes</li>
<li>Meet or exceed core competency expectations for safety, quality, productivity, attendance/punctuality, and teamwork.</li>
<li>Read and interpret diagrams and specifications.</li>
<li>Ability to follow detailed work instructions, procedures, and directions under limited supervision.</li>
<li>Ensures safe working practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe clean work environment.</li>
<li>Act as a cross-functional team member and demonstrates gas turbine abrasive blast process skills and knowledge through the processing of gas turbine components and other hardware.</li>
<li>Use pneumatic and electrical grinding tools to blend defects, welded areas and restore areas back to original contours on various parts of an aero derivative gas turbine.</li>
</ul><div><b>Required Qualifications</b></div>
<ul><li>Minimum high school diploma or GED, or relevant work experience in lieu of education.</li>

<li>Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check.</li>
</ul><div><b>Desired Qualifications</b></div>

<li>Knowledge of proper safety practices and Personal Protective Equipment related to a repair and manufacturing operation is desired.</li>
<li>Experience with the maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repair of industrial equipment.</li>
<li>Ability to learn equipment functions and use (air pressure system, crane, forklift, etc.)</li>

<li>Documents damages and discrepancies for future reimbursement and reconciliation</li>
<li>Coordinates inventory management, warehousing, and transportation activities in order to optimize inventory levels and minimize costs</li>
</ul><div><b>Required Qualifications</b></div>
<ul><li>High School diploma/GED and more than 6 months of general work experience; Additional experience may be considered in lieu of H.S. education.</li>
