</h2><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">Responsibilities and Duties:</h2><ul><li>
Develop and implement health and safety programs and policies.</li><li>
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.</li><li>
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes.</li><li>
Provide safety training and education to employees.</li><li>
Maintain and update safety documentation and records.</li><li>
Coordinate emergency response plans and drills.</li><li>
Advise management on safety and environmental concerns.</li><li>
Monitor and analyze work environments and processes for potential hazards.</li><li>
Recommend corrective actions and improvements to safety practices.</li><li>
Prepare and submit necessary reports to regulatory agencies.</li><li>
Lead risk assessment initiatives and hazard identification.</li><li>
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on safety issues.</li><li>
Manage waste disposal and pollution control programs.</li><li>
Act as the site Biohazard representative.
</li><li>Coordinate and perform sit PHA&rsquo;s and PSSR&rsquo;s
</li><li>Perform yearly fit testing for team members.
</li><li>Schedule and coordinate with contractor to perform annual IH monitoring.
</li><li>Develop and maintain the site safe work permitting program.
</li><li>Stay current with changes in environmental health and safety regulations.</li><li>
Promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness.</li><li>
Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in occupational safety, or related field</li><li>
Experience with environmental compliance and waste management.</li><li>
Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state regulations</li><li>
Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations</li><li>
Experience with industrial hygiene practices.</li><li>
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and safety management software</li><li>
Project management skills</li><li>
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities</li><li>
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills</li><li>
Ability to analyze data and generate reports.</li><li>
Strong written and verbal communication and training skills</li><li>
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>
Physical capability to conduct field inspections.</li><li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>
2-4 years of experience in health and safety</li><li>
Proven track record of successfully managing safety programs.</li><li>
Certification in Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA, NEBOSH, etc.)</li><li>
Certification in First Aid and CPR</li><li>
Membership in professional safety organizations</li><li>
Proficiency in risk assessment and hazard identification techniques</li><li>
Familiarity with emergency response planning and coordination</li></ul>
Travel Requirements:<ul><li>
Travel four to six times per year
</li></ul>Compensation for roles at PFG varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience.
