Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Civil Paralegal Subcontractor to support our legal team in managing a diverse range of civil law matters. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex legal projects, assist with document preparation, research, and case management, all while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, excellent organizational skills, and a strong foundation in civil law to ensure efficient case handling and legal administrative support.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist attorneys with case preparation, including drafting legal documents, contracts, and pleadings across various civil law areas such as family law, landlord-tenant law, personal injury law, and securities law.</li><li>Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies and client advisories.</li><li>Manage legal case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw, ensuring all records are accurate, complete, and up-to-date.</li><li>Review and analyze legal documents for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable laws including UCC law, tribal regulations, environmental law, workers' compensation law, patent law, and immigration law.</li><li>Perform data entry tasks related to case management systems while maintaining meticulous filing and document review procedures.</li><li>Support project management efforts by coordinating deadlines, scheduling interviews or client meetings, and maintaining organized workflows.</li><li>Provide executive administrative support by handling correspondence, managing calendars, and ensuring effective communication within the legal team.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Proven paralegal experience with a strong background in civil litigation or related fields such as estate planning or environmental law.</li><li>Familiarity with legal administrative experience including document review, proofreading, transcription, and contract drafting.</li><li>Hands-on experience with legal research platforms such as Westlaw or LexisNexis is highly preferred.</li><li>Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette.</li><li>Knowledge of legal case management software including iManage or PCLaw is advantageous.</li><li>Experience supporting attorneys in a fast-paced law office environment across diverse practice areas such as family law, tribal regulations, securities law, or workers' compensation is desirable.
