Pro Steel Engineering is expanding, and we are now looking for experienced Welders and Fabricators to join our team at our Pontypool (New Inn) facility. This role is ideal for candidates with strong fabrication skills, alongside proven experience in MAG (135/136) and Flux‑Cored (FCAW) welding processes.About the RoleYou will be involved in the fabrication and welding of structural steel components, working from detailed technical drawings and contributing to our growing workshop output. We&rsquo;re looking for individuals who take pride in producing accurate, high‑quality work and can operate effectively as part of a busy production team.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Fabricate structural steel components to specification</li><li>Perform all‑position welding using MAG and FCAW processes</li><li>Read and interpret detailed fabrication/engineering drawings</li><li>Operate workshop tools and equipment safely and effectively</li><li>Ensure weld and fabrication quality meets company and industry standards</li><li>Work collaboratively with fabrication, welding, and production teams</li><li>Maintain a safe, tidy, and organised working environment</li></ul>Essential Skills &amp; Experience<ul><li>Background in structural steel fabrication</li><li>Strong experience in MAG (135/136) welding</li><li>Competent in Flux‑Cored (FCAW) welding</li><li>Ability to read and work from fabrication drawings</li><li>Consistent, high‑quality workmanship and good attention to detail</li><li>Minimum 2 years&rsquo; experience in welding/fabrication (preferred)</li></ul>Desirable (Not Essential)<ul><li>Overhead crane licence</li><li>Forklift operating experience</li><li>Previous work in a heavy/structural steel environment</li></ul>Working Hours &amp; Benefits<ul><li>Full‑time, permanent role</li><li>Overtime available at enhanced rates</li><li>Opportunities for progression and further skill development</li></ul>LocationPro Steel Engineering, Pontypool (New Inn)Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Temporary, Fixed term contract, Temp to permPay: &pound;17.00-&pound;19.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Free parking</li><li>On-site parking</li><li>Transport links</li></ul>Work authorisation:<ul><li>United Kingdom (required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
