Pro-Tec Fire Services is looking for a full-time Firefighter/EMT for our Manassas location!!!Job Purpose: The Firefighter is required to deliver and maintain a compliant and operational rescue and firefighting service. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Firefighter to fully participate in the airport emergency services, including following the safety and emergency procedures as per applicable regulatory and operational requirements to ensure continuity and operational readiness across the airport.Job Summary: Under the direction of the Shift Captain and/or Fire Chief, this position of Firefighter/EMT is responsible for the safe and acceptable performance of all firefighting functions, emergency medical first aid, assist and participate in all firefighting, lifesaving, and security activities at the airport and its facilities, and perform related work as required. The firefighter, as a crew member, will follow the leadership of the department in all the orders and written policies and procedures and all other written orders.Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>The firefighter maintains a high standard of safety and work performance in the execution of their duties. This will include maintaining safe work practices and compliance with company, client, airport, and government agency policies, rules, standards and regulations, communication any deficiencies and recommendations for correction to the Station Captain and/or Fire Chief.</li><li>Complete all assigned daily duties as directed by the Shift Captain and/or Fire Chief.</li><li>Driver Operator of ARFF apparatus as a Firefighter.</li><li>Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Shift Captain/Fire Chief, as the scope of the client services requires or broadens.</li><li>Performs additional Airport Operations duties as assigned to meet contractual obligations or the daily operational demands of the facility, which may include responsibilities extending beyond standard fire protection duties.</li></ul>Skills and Abilities:<ul><li>Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups using good oral, written, and listening skills.</li><li>Ability to carry out oral and written directions.</li><li>Ability to prepare reports on the handling of routine or emergency duties.</li><li>Ability to exercise sound judgment in determining the appropriate action to be taken relation to job responsibilities.</li><li>Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the performance of duties, to include all clients, tenant organizations and airport employees.</li><li>Must demonstrate good character appropriate to the requirements of the job.</li><li>Must present an appearance consistent with other employee appearance standards.</li><li>Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the performance of duties, to include all co-workers/employees and Airport Administration.</li><li>A thorough understanding of and demonstrated experience in NIMS and ICS Incident Command Systems.</li><li>Working knowledge and proficiency in the operation of computer equipment and software programs used by the department, to include Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel.</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li><li>College Degree (preferred)</li></ul>Certifications &amp; Licenses (Required):<ul><li>IFSAC, Pro-Board, or DOD Firefighter I &amp; II</li><li>IFSAC, Pro-Board, or DOD Hazmat Awareness &amp; Operations</li><li>ICS 100, 200, 700, &amp; 800</li><li>CPR and EMR or EMT-B certified</li></ul>Certifications &amp; Licenses (Preferred):<ul><li>IFSAC, Pro-Board, or DOD ARFF Driver/Operator</li><li>IFSAC, Pro-Board, or DOD ARFF Firefighter</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>FF experience with an emphasis on ARFF. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Fire Manager to assist the Airport Fire Chief with airport emergency services, including maintain compliance with emergency procedures as per applicable regulatory and operational requirements to ensure continuity and operational readiness across the airport.Job SummaryThe Assistant Chief oversees the department's comprehensive training program and ensures personnel maintain the knowledge, skills, and certifications necessary to provide Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF), emergency medical response, hazardous materials response (operations level), aircraft fueling operations, alarm response, and fire safety inspections. Working in close partnership with the Airport Fire Chief, the Assistant Chief provides executive-level input and collaborates with airport management, regulatory agencies, mutual aid partners, tenants, and community organizations to promote operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and positive working relationships. The Assistant Chief exercises sound judgment, professionalism, and decisive leadership in a dynamic operational environment. In the absence of the Airport Fire Chief, this position assumes delegated authority and is responsible for making timely operational and administrative decisions to ensure continuity of service and compliance with contractual, regulatory, and governmental requirements.Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>The incumbent ensures that the Firefighters maintain a standard of safety and work performance in the execution of their duties. This would include maintaining safe work practices and compliance with company, airport and governmental agency policies, rules, standards, and regulations.
